What to do about supplier info?

Fellows can you please help me out. Paypal is asking me to provide them with my supplier. They already asked me for utility bill, driver's licence, bank statement and I submitted all of it but they still ask me for my supplier. Can anyone please explain to me what exactly should I provide them. Is there a specific format they want me to provide it with or I can just sent them the information written in word? Do they need an invoice? What exactly they are asking.

Thank you.

Since they didnt ask for invoices just call them up and give them the number too your supplier or 'supplier'. Considering you sent in all that info and they want a contact for your supplier, they might actually call so make sure the number you give is active and be prepared for their call.

Dont stress about it. If you comply with what theyre asking for everything should turn out ok

stanislav 02-18-2009 04:56 AM

Thank you guys I did everything right well almost! I provided them with a number but for got to activate it. Anyways that's what I received from paypal.

Were sorry, but we cannot restore full access to your account until we
receive additional information. Please provide a copy of each of the
following items:

We have attempted to contact your supplier and the telephone number
provided was not valid. Please provide a valid telephone number so that we
may further review your account limitation.

I wonder what kind of questions they may ask? Also how can I play music when I put them on hold? I will be using cellphone.

aspkin 02-18-2009 06:04 AM

They'll just ask if you are such and such supplier. They'll ask for a little info on your business, and if you have a business website and that's it.

Thanks Aspkin. I did read thgis thread before but still have a few questions. I wonder in case my account is going to be reinstated will it somehow be a more safer account afterwards. I dont understand why they limited my account now after one year of me using it on constant bases without any interruptions. My items cost anywhere between 500-700 USD. I never had any problems but did refund 5 customers on dec 2008.

aspkin 02-18-2009 11:39 AM

Yes, generally you should be okay for awhile after they reinstate your account.

Just don't ramp up sales too much after that or you'll be asked the dreaded SSN question.

divine422 02-18-2009 05:30 PM

^^
Our fellow Canadian here doesnt have to worry about the dreaded SSN. :)

Also if you want to be all fancy (although not necessary).... i use voicemailtel. They have very nice music on hold actually from Beethoven to Mozart. Hopefully all goes well...it totally bugs them when you give a number thats not working or says its inactive. Good luck.

I missed call from Paypal today and here is what I got ...

stanislav 02-18-2009 05:36 PM

Dear ,

We have reviewed your PayPal Account, and due to the excessive risk
involved, we would like to begin parting ways in a manner that is least
disruptive to your business.

-----------------------------------
Disbursement options
-----------------------------------

Option 1. If you owe refunds to any of your buyers, you can use the money
in your PayPal account to refund them.

To refund your buyers:
1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click "Contact Us" at the bottom of any page.
3. Click "Contact Customer Service."
4. Under "Choose a Topic," select "Sending/Receiving Money."
5. Under "Choose a Subtopic," select "Refund/Cancel a Payment."
6. Click "Continue" and follow the instructions to refund payments.

Option 2. Money in your PayPal account will be held for 180 days. After 180
days, we'll email you information on how to receive your funds.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

Sincerely,
Dan
PayPal

1 year without any problems and all of the sudden they close my account ? WTF!?

stanislav 02-18-2009 05:39 PM

As part of our commitment to offering a safe transaction network for all
of our valued members, we regularly screen account activity. During one
of these screenings, we reviewed your account and determined that the
activity associated to your eBay or PayPal accounts poses an inherent
risk to the overall security of our network. Unfortunately, due to this
risk, we have determined that we are no longer able to offer the use of
our services to you.

Although you are no longer able to utilize PayPal services, you may
still log into your PayPal account to review the information associated
to your use of our services for a limited time.

In accordance with PayPal’s User Agreement, the balance of your PayPal
account will be held for 180 days to protect PayPal against the risk of
reversal stemming from buyer claims, chargebacks, or other reversal
rights that may have been assigned to a consumer outside of PayPal and
eBay’s policies. After the180-day period has passed, any remaining
funds will be available to you for withdrawal, less any additional
amounts owed to PayPal or eBay.

Additionally, eBay will charge any amounts you have not previously
disputed to the billing method currently on file and you will be
credited for any listings that were ended.

While we regret having to make this decision, please understand that the
decision was based on criteria set forth in the User Agreements for both
PayPal and eBay. You can view our User Agreements in their entirety by
using links located at the footer of each of our websites.

Please do not reply to this email, as this mailbox is not monitored and
you will not receive a response. If you seek further clarification
regarding your account access, please contact PayPal by visiting the
Help Center and clicking "Contact Us.”

We thank you for your prompt attention and cooperation with this matter.

Sincerely,

Account Review Department

Damn paypal. Because you did the right thing by refunding your buyers you get punished.
paypal hate refunds even though you use your money. paypal hates everyone.

stanislav 02-18-2009 06:58 PM

They also suspended my eBay ... Unbelievable !

divine422 02-18-2009 07:57 PM

honestly, I think it was more about missing the call. They are getting hip to ppl creating bogus invoices and they know that we think they wont call suppliers and thats how they try to catch people. If they called your supplier the first time and didnt get through and you asked them to call again and they still didnt get them...they will automatically assume your supplier isnt legit because if you call an actual company its not that hard to get a hold of someone. Set up a few stealth accounts and you will be up and going again in no time.

That's too bad stanislav... time to start a few new eBay and PayPal accounts.

Lesson learned though, and you'll be better prepared next time.
