What's the Deal Now with Sending Payments
 

Seems like a lot of my new stealth accounts, ones that are even a month or two old now, PP gives me issues when sending payments. I get the "Can't send payment now, try again" later error message. I get them if I try to send $250 or even $5 to someone.

Surprised to see this so many times now as PP makes it almost impossible to send funds. Tried doing it with accounts that have funds in them already as well as using a credit card attached. Doesn't matter, PP won't let me send any funds.

Accounts verified, good standing, no issues.

Thats become the new standard in the last 6 months or so and youre not the only one experiencing it.
Not much to do about this other than try to gain more trust with them by sending smaller payment to other trusted sources (I find the recipient account to be a big factor in whether the payment will go through or not).

Yeah its just getting a little ridiculous and defeats the purpose of PP. I mean I've got $500 sitting in one account and I can't even send a $150 payment to someone. So what is the purpose then? Nothing. Sure I can withdraw, but would like to use the funds in there to make a payment.

One stealth account I have I've got three transaction where I bought items from eBay and even sold two items on eBay. No issues at all. Funds already released from the hold and in my account. So roughly five transactions now with amounts ranging from $25-$75, yet I can't send anyone any money from my PP account.

Do you still have 21 day holds on the accounts you are sending the money to?

Correct they would still have the holds in place.

I had this many times, what i do is just wait, try once a day until it goes through.

Varies account to account - I have also experimented to bypass with a different browser used with mixed results

Funny you say that cause at dinner I was thinking to try this as I had read others had done the same.

So I fire up IE instead of FireFox. Tried to send, no go. So I said what the heck I will switch over to the classic site and see what happens. Well it appears I got lucky as I was able to get a payment I needed to be sent to go through.

yes this is becoming quite common. it does have a lot to do with who your sending to... whether their established or NOT... best to just leave it alone and come back later... patience is key here...

This is more correct than what yall might think. If the receiving account is not verified and confirmed, it can cause this issue as well in my experience.

Yes there are no rules with paypal and their funny ways. Another option is to use the PayPal app, be warned though it wants access to almost everything on your phone. I keep an old handset totally wiped for this purpose. It works, sometimes.

Other little trick I try - making one very cheap purchase on the account, has worked a couple of times.

Avoidance is the best remedy, as per good steal rules if i recieve money on a new account, I let it sit for a couple of days

I once tried using a different browser, a day later, and it worked. Worth a try?

P.S. this was after calling in and speaking to Paypal who advised me to do this. All comments above potentially stand true as well, recipient/risk can all play a part.

Paypal like to make you believe that their site is having technical problems, more often though it's their security measures.

Yes another browser also works sometimes, as does clearing all your cookies

So basically, no further development on to resolving this issue.
I have few accounts with same problem.
The account are new. On to the creation, I've verified them with VCC and then have uploaded proof of address and proof of ID for lifting the limits. Then i received a payment for goods and the payment got 21 days hold. I've added the tracking number and waited for 21 days straight.
After, the funds got available i've tried first to buy something on ebay for under 2$. It worked. But when i try to buy something over 2$ -error message. Same with sending money and invoices.
What is the best man ve in this situation.
I can't wait furthermore, because i need the money to buy a new merchandise.
21 days wait isn't enough?!?!
