Amazon can see where you shipped from (UK?)
 

So one of the ways in which Amazon tracks users, is by checking what post office they ship their items from. So technically, you should go to the next local post office.

Is this the same case here in the UK, or is Amazon UK not so bothered?

And sending untracked mail for Amazon sales should be fine?

Using FBA would be a lot easier for you wouldn't it? Avoids the worry completely and the fact users can purchase with expedited shipping?

Sure FBA has its pros and its cons depending on the price of the product your selling - in my case it wouldnt benefit me.

However, I was wondering would UK users get tracked via this method?

I have always used my same post office for years, even sending tracked items from different Amazon accounts at the same time. I have never had any issues with accounts linking.

I honestly don't believe they track people that way.

The only time they would manually look at your tracking information is if an A-Z claim for non-receipt has been filed but they are only interested if it shows delivered or not.

Only manually - agree and it would take a lot of staff involvement...I don't worry about this

And sending untracked is ok but bear in mind that you will never be protected against non-receipt A-Z claims.

Whilst it is certainly possible to see what Post Office tracked items are being sent from it is not going to cause any issues. There's so many other (more basic) ways that Amazon can track users without needing to manually review postal data.

This question came from reading a few threads on here (from US based users) who spoke about going to a different post office to post items for their different accounts - which sounded very tedious to me.

But from what I have heard from all the UK guys, seems fine. Thanks for all the responses guys.

If it reads " IS one of the ways in which amazon tracks users etc etc,
" then the acceptable response was no.

BUT: no user making new stealth accounts should sensibly make an new stealth account in the same 'burb as a suspended account.

Subtle difference.

Amazon does not link accounts from ship from tracking info.

My little home city has many many multi million dollar amazon accounts in its zipcode and a giant 300,000 square foot fulfillment center. Non of us have been linked via ship from post codes from tracking numbers.

Agreed, everyone probably sends tracked items at some point and no one is going to drive or travel miles just to get a post office well away from where they actually live just so that Amazon cannot see a link. It simply does not cause a problem, like has been said they would need so much extra manpower to look for links in areas that it is not happening.

Having to provide enough extra manpower to track that issue would not be cost effective for Amazon to do.
