Phone verification UK help
 

Hi everyone.

I am planning to buy a "Pay as you go" phone from amazon that is very cheap https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vodafone-Sm..._bs_10394961_1

Will that be a good alternative to the tracfone in the UK ? Is there a cheaper alternative ? I guess all I have to do is buy the phone, get a sim card and have a bit of top up to make the verification call or receive the verification call.

Any unlocked mobile with any PAYG SIM will do the job unless they are asking for a landlines verification?

Just putting it out there, UK PAYG dormant sim cards get recycled every 12 months. There is a slight chance you might end up using the same number. I will emphasise 'slight chance'.

What would be the best way to avoid this ? just use the sim card and call anyone within 12 months ?

No my point is, when you obtain a PAYG sim card, there is a good chance that number was previously owned by someone. Then there is an off chance that someone used it on ebay/paypal.

There are many alternative solutions on the forum. But I will emphasise yet again, these chances are slight.
