Which items to sell?
 

Do any of you guys/girls have this problem.

When you find something at a good price to sell, it is being sold on ebay by Chinese sellers direct from china. And it is also being sold by Chinese sellers with warehouses located in the uk.

Do both ways you can't win.

Any advice to overcome this problem.

To make things better because of their geographical location they don't even end up paying VAT.

And if I am first how is best to deal with the sellers that hugely undercut my prices selling at break even or even at loss (short term)?

I dont mean in terms of sell x and y product.

I mean things like what sort of items can people in my situation sell and have an edge.

Eg large and bulky items - chinese sellers don't usually go for these.

Second hand products - same situation with these.

you names a couple of good examples, also maybe handmade products, Euro-made products...

I find that selling things "people need" on a constant basis is always good.

A lot of attraction these days for non-Chinese products.....

Look at the time of year, the weather UK is having at the moment, not difficult to come up with items that are selling well and much in demand, also some of which can be used indoors to encompass the bad weather that will arrive sooner rather than later.

Well, you could try finding "trending" items on terapeak.com, or if you have the money, buy in bulk and rebrand the item in question

I think this is an often overlooked category, but consider selling TOOLS. Look for heavy or large specialized trades tools. Make sure it's something complicated that is not going to be counterfeited. It can take a bit to figure out, but once you know what will sell for good money it's easy to find cheap ones in pawn shops. Bonus points if it only needs a simple repair.
