Ebay wants me to contact them
 

received a email this morning from ebay, to "confirm" account information
before I call ebay, are there any do's or don'ts.
This is a stealth account, purchased on here. I've had it approx. 60 days. Account is fine and no issues.
My brother started using his account yesterday to list a few random things. His account is in good standing also no issues. I assume this is what triggered the email I got from ebay
any tips would be helpful!

In the future never use the same computers with other ebay/paypal/amazon etc... users. This also goes for IP addresses.

I am assuming you can not verify the identity. You may try contacting the account seller. Possibly they have options for you.

ID would be super easy.

They are going to ask database questions if they can find you at all in a database.

Questions like:
According to your drivers license, how tall are you?

In 2005, what vehicle did you have registered. A) Mazda Miata B)Ford Escort C) Toyota Camry D) none of the above

Dawn Cormier(some married into relative usually such as mother in law, etc..) is what age group A)20-25 B) 55-60 C) 45-50 D) 65-70

i'd assume they won't have me in a data base as this is a fictitious account Correct?

Contact whoever sold you the account to ask such questions. It is impossible for any of us to know those answers.

Update, had nothing to do with my brothers ebay account. they saw a spike in my selling activity. had to confirm where I got my items from ...... No biggie and account was restored.
Also ebay now holds funds for 90 days on new accounts..... Seriously insane! But, I'm almost there. one more month!

ALL new accounts, 100% of them will have the funds held for 21 days or until 3 days after proof of delivery for the first 90 days. To have the 90 day holds removed, you need 25 transactions, 90 days and at least $250.00 in funds received.

EVERY NEW ACCOUNT has these for the past several years.

When you say never use the same computer for different PayPal eBay etc,do you mean use different user accounts or totally different computer??

either or. they both work. but its best to have seperate computers if you can.

Different user accounts works adequately for me for different accounts.

I want to learn using different user for different ebay accounts too. How do you do that? I dont want to do it wrong and get all the account linked

Don't forget even using different user accounts you are still linked by IP address
