Personally I told them to f-ck off when they emailed me but my account cannot be traced back to me in any way. I did do a little research on them and they do file suits and press hard for payments. Lol | Oh yes, they email sometimes......The first time I tried to sell an authentic item I had purchased from the actual company that J&P represent, they emailed me 1st, then they sent me one of their extortion letters (not certified). I told them to shove the letter up their wazu and if they wanted to take me to court they should go ahead. I had a receipt and everything, J&P are aholes. |

They would get a subpoena and follow the money all the way to your bank account, which is (hopefully) registered in your real name. Even if you shuffle money around accounts before withdrawing, they know how to find you. Don't get too comfortable. :nerd: |
| yankee | 07-28-2016 09:03 AM | Re: Received a Law sue certified mail today It does not take much for a Judge to issue an order for paypal to give up the bank information and find you.
No such thing as being stealthy if they want to sue unless you do not have bank accounts attached to paypal. |

Its usually called gaining property under false pretence. Its illigal to make money in anything but your own personal info. |

Ebay and Paypal aren't financial institutions so there isn't any law saying you're required to give them factual info. Stealth becomes a crime when you apply someone else's tax ID to your stealth account, rather than getting your own. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think just giving Ebay a fictitious name is illegal in any way. |

Also, if you watch a lifelock infomercial, they mention similar things,
Personally, i now stealth in my name, Small variations
, but im paranoid like that. |

Have you ever wondered why some banks dont allow mis matched names? ,
here are just a few examples, in a couple states, im no lawyer but its pretty plain wording. | GhostOfAmazon | 08-20-2016 02:43 AM | Re: Received a Law sue certified mail today Of all the phake things you could sell.......CAR PARTS? Really? Are you retarded? Or just plain evil? If you're going to sell phake stuff, AT LEAST make it something trite.....if someones phake axle breaks on the interstate and it causes a wreck, that's on YOU. And if it were to come down to it, and there was an investigation into the cause, and they discovered it was due to a faulty phake part, you'd have MUCH bigger problems than a lawsuit.
You really screwed the pooch. |

| GhostOfAmazon | 08-20-2016 09:41 AM | Re: Received a Law sue certified mail today I get the logic behind selling phakes-----you don't have to have tax id info, don't have to have a legit business, no dealing with huge minimum quantities, easy, cheap, fast, convenient....I get THAT. What I don't get is product choice......CAR PARTS. Sell some DVD's or something.....at least if they mess up, no one gets hurt.
I'm not going to say "Don't sell phakes". I'm not your middle school D.A.R.E. counselor. But if you're going to do drugs, do weed, don't do meth. |

If the shops are using them then chances are they are on many cars already. Although a small fender I cant see that as a big problem.
But yea I could make a killing just using this access, but would fear the risk. Unless they know what they are getting.... |

Re: Received a Law sue certified mail today My brother in law has an auto-glass repair shop and you be surprised how much profit there is, the glass is imported from China and sold for huge profits. Auto part also has massive profitability. |

When I looked at the South Carolina law, there was always attached a portion that stated some fraud action was required.
I can call myself Bubble Gum and as long as I don't commit fraud and give my real name to the authorities when asked, I'm good.
It always comes down to fraud and theft. AS long as someone doesn't do any of those things, they should be fine. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:54 PM. | |
