Dear All, I'm reading the stealthbook and I'm at step 6. I have a few questions related to Italy.

That is why I'm here ;-) now my questions:

1. Any advice on which bank offers sub-accounts or VBA?
2. I know Postepay evolution has an IBAN attached to the card? Would that work?
3. As italian PP allows withdraw to CC/VCC, would that be enough to substitute a bank account?
4. Which VCC work with italian PP? Is Entropay OK? VCC from Postepay called e-postepay?

First of all, Italian PayPal allow the following Withdrawal methods:
- To your local bank account. (Could be any EUR Bank account in the EEA accepting SEPA transfers)
- To your credit or prepaid card. (Best Option)
- To your US bank account. (Never tried it)

1. VBA are generally used for verification purposes not withdrawals. At least as far as I know.
2. No personal experience with Postpay.
3. I think a CC/VCC will be enough for an Italian PayPal account (Not 100% sure, maybe an Italian member could confirm or deny this).
4. A lots of VCC's would work, just look for a provider in the Forum's marketplace. (If you are planning to use the VCC for withdrawals you should use a VISA and NOT a MasterCard)

Sorry I am only reading now your questions. Going to reply for the experience I have.

Virtual Bank Accounts I do not think is an option for Italy. Since we do not need a bank account to confirm the PayPal account I do not really see any advantage in having a VBA (you cannot withdraw to VBA anyway)

Postepay Evolution works like a charm. 1 card for 2 PayPal. Card comes with the IBAN bank number that can be used to withdraw from 1 PayPal and also the 16 digit Mastercard, from the same card, can be used for another PayPal ;)

No entropay doesn't work. In the marketplace of this forum there are VCCs that works. There is also an Italian Gift Card that works. That can be purchased in real shops not online.
e-postepay should work not my personal experience tho. It is quite tricky to get and you have to have a working cellphone number for each e-postepay as far as I am aware.

I saw that you mentioned the possibility to withdraw from an Italian PayPal account to a MasterCard, as far as I know the PayPal withdraw is possible with Visa Cards only! Could you please confirm this.

If this is possible, is it working (Withdraw to MasterCard) on Italy only or for all other selected countries.

I do confirm MASTERCARD works for withdrawing from IT PayPal.

I live in Italy and I use IT issued cards only. I guess would not be easy to get one of these card from abroad (Postapay cards and accounts are only available in person at the IT post office).

As far as VCC is concerned again I did try to withdraw to a VCC but it was generated from my IT bank account.

You can ask to muzzie in the marketplace if his cards works for IT accounts. He is well known and trusted member of this forum:

There is no way to get postepay from abroad without tax id as i experienced, but its not necessary italian bank account for italian pp.. Any European country bank acc. would definitely work for it.. I am curious if its possible to get any european bank account from abroad..

There are a fair few virtual/prepaid cards around that you can withdraw to, i often found with research and trial/error

Yes, some cards which could be used to withdraw from PayPal can be generated online.
Talking about EU not Italian Cards.

For Italians - local cards work nicely. For foreigners - several VISA cards do the job well. Banks are very hard to get, and why to use them if you have cards? Not all the cards work well, but still the best options compared to banks.

I have multiple physical visa prepaid cards but problem is they have maximum 1000$ limits per year.. Sometimes i see some people selling anonymous unlimited prepaid atm cards can be used online wondering how.

When you find those cards you will figure out how to make them unlimited.

If such cards are cheap enough and there is ample supply, then i dont see the problem with limits

Totally agree, that's a good option, whenever you come close to reach the limit link a new card wait a few days then start withdrawing to it. This case the limit won't cause any problem!

Dear All, as far as I know there are 2 kinds of VBA:
1. numbers only, sold by online vendors on specific forums, used just to confirm your new PP account, obviously you don't know anything about the bank etc and can't control the account. And obviously you don't withdraw to it'
2. real virtual bank account, opened online by submitting a ton of docs and/or visiting a branch of the bank. These are real bank accounts with IBAN. I found only 2 italian VBA: webank.it and hellobank.it
Anybody has experience with these two?
I'm willing to give them a try, just for the sake of it ;-)

I believe that in order to open an account with Webank or HelloBank you must have residence in Italy!

ixxx, I have no direct experience with the banks you are mentionin but their TOS explicitely says that you must have residence in Italy as Othmane was mentioning above.

You need to have an address in Italy, where you will receive your physical card, and you have to have an Italian phone number for SMS and verification.

I guess there is no way around this in my country.
