My item was viewed by one person in 20 hours.
 

The thing is, it's posted in a category that has a LOT of views daily and activity by deal hunters.... I can get as much for it in 1 day as I can in 7 days, it's a very active category and NOT VERO or a high risk category.

But on a new account even the normal (what I assume is) Ebay's reviewers-of-new-posts that leave me with 1-3 views within minutes of my listing it, I only get one view and no watchers, and it's almost a full day since listing.

Does anyone know why this might be? I only have 2 sales so far, do they actually hide my posting for a full day? (It doesnt come up in a keyword search that I can see). Or is there a known way to avoid this?

The only post I could find on this was from 2008 and didn't have much info, and even that scenario was a 6 hour window... this is almost a full day!

If it's a new acct. it will take up to 24 hours to show up on eBay. New acct. listings take longer to be indexed.

To see if the listing is public, click your ebay user profile, then click view items for sale. If it doesn't show up, its still being reviewed etc.

Just be patient, when its ready it will go up. No need to rush things.

In all honesty, this happens to me alot. I still don't know why it happens and I haven't even tried to figure it out, because % wise it doesn't make sense to get my foil hat out and chase ghosts.

When I list 60 items, all for auctions, then I usually have about 5 items that I swear are being "viewed" by eBay bots only.
I usually see how the listing does for couple of days and then just remove the listing and set aside and relist next week or a week after that- Seems to work.


I don't know what causes it, but if you find out the source of this problem... Let me know!

@Haidukken - A few things I noticed over the years were, how stable the account is, sales patterns, category your listing in, value of item etc. - These seem to be things that influence how fast your item ends up being public.
