Anyone ever use the Rush Card ?

I'm using it as a bank account (Paypal lists it as Chase Bank).

Just wondering if the website is true when it says funds cannot be reversed by Paypal.

I know they can be blocked, but can they be reversed?

king02 03-13-2009 10:14 PM

i used them they work fine

RobFagles 03-14-2009 12:35 PM

Yes, but that still doesn't really answer my question.

Has anyone ever had a Rush Card direct deposit reverse?

aquariusvc 03-15-2009 10:17 AM

:yar: You so remind me of someone that used be on this forum. LOL. Suggest you check the subscribers area, Means to An End List. There is a comment there bout this card. OK, it does not answer your question BUT it gives info which might mean it is not worthwhile :peace:

doughboykilla 03-16-2009 10:35 AM

I used this about 3-4 years ago and it worked fine

GreenBean 03-16-2009 05:09 PM

 Doughboy, did you bother to read the comments about this in the Means to an End list about Rushcard? In 4 years many things have changed. It is reasonable to give up-to-date info especially for a newbie.

doughboykilla 03-16-2009 10:03 PM

Yeah im sure they had changed over the years just like with greendot cards which btw are these working for paypal? cause about 2 years ago paypal banned the routing number but when i logged in my account the other day it said get $10 free for useing greendot direct depiost but excludes paypal depoists so that tells me they probly are used on paypal again as a bank or it wouldnt had said that.

WOW that is the dumbest advice I have heard here in a long time...

3-4 years ago I could just add a email address to my Paypal account and keep selling on a new account too.
We ALL know that does not work.

If you can not give advice that is current, recent and up to date then anything you say is useless.

doughboykilla 03-17-2009 01:35 AM

Emm lets repharse that to a idiot who thinks ING dosent work for paypal. Rushcard works for me to this date. Some of you like HWGA may not be so lucky when useing severices like this and there for dose'nt work for them but dose'nt mean it dosent work for rest of the population. There for try it and see if it works thats the best advice there is and much more helpful then some bigit against severices that they assume dose'nt work.

Lets see here for something that dosent work they sure have it plasterd all in the FAQs on there site

Update on Rushcard -

I have information from an associate of mine.

They held a deposit where the names on the PP and the Rushcard account were just slightly different. Same last name, but different first names. And two days later, the PP account got limited - not 100% sure if Paypal called them or not, I don't have all the details.
after your comment I will make a further post. Thank you.

doughboykilla 03-17-2009 11:17 AM

Well after reading the OP wasnt asking if it worked or not rather it paypal could reverse funds which they can't

Its a good card and it works fine for paypal :) Just think these people has tv commercials mainly showen on BET. Theres alot of people who use them who cant use real bank accounts do to chexsystem so they have to use these and there for have to use these on paypal as a bank.

Like i said about greendot in the past they did not work cause paypal was threaten by them and didnt like the idea they would limt any one who use this as a bank account for paypal and to top the cake when greendot first launhed i could sign up for a greendot with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names and ssn's and get the cards :) but now they fixed that and become very very very popular at this date and i know i could add it as a bank account on paypal and i would be fine.

Here We Go Again 03-17-2009 07:52 PM

I saw on the sign up screen that they, Rushcard, wants your SSN.
So I am guessing that you MUST use your real name.

I see how you can get money out of Paypal onto your Rushcard.
But I also read this:
"Everyone Approved pending verification of identity Transfers MUST be in the name of the cardholder Funds cannot be transferred from your Prepaid Visa RushCard to PayPal"

SO the way I am interpreting the sign-up screen & the Paypal instructions is this:
  • Your Rushcard MUST be in your real name because they want your SSN at sign up.
  • Any transfers from Paypal to Rushcard MUST be in the name of the Rushcard holder.
  • If I am right then this card would NOT work for any "Stealth Account" than is not in the Rushcard holders real name.
  • And you can not get a Rushcard in a "Stealth" name due to the SSN requirement.

So......
Rushcard will work for real Payapl accounts in your real name.
But it will NOT work with Stealth accounts.
How many people here run eBay/Paypal accounts in their real name?
2%-4%????

doughboykilla 03-17-2009 08:07 PM

O well mine works but i guess cause its in my real name. It really dose'nt matter cause they wern't asking if it worked or not but if paypal can reverse funds.

You can use names like If your real name was Ricky Scottsdale you could use Rick Scott and it will work fine

I bet even with just matching last names would work.

Reason why funds cannot be reversed by Paypal is because you could have a rushcard that has $0 and u just so happen to have done a $2000 w/d from paypal a few days before and u w/d it all out of the rushcard and now if paypal decieds for what every reason to take that money back and do a reversel your rushcard would be -$2000 so who takes the loss rushcard cause what can they do to u A. trun u into chexsystems .nope B. send you to a bill collecter .yes but other then that theres a slim to none chance they would get it back so thats why they eliminate the risk from the start.

Actually, HWGA, you are wrong. I'm using RushCard with different names and all the deposits are coming in just fine.

I was mainly asking the question because I'm a bit confused on how RushCard works with the bank.

Anyone use the Chase debit card program? I think that's what RushCard essentially is, or at least is very similar.

Don't tell me that I am wrong when I do DIRECT COPY/PASTE from the RushCard web site.
So I am NOT wrong. I guess you are saying that the RushCard web site in wrong... Not me.
You are turning into the next useless member here.
If you DO NOT KNOW what you are talking about then I suggest that you not offer useless information.

Unless you are here trying to disrupt the forum by starting trouble and spouting dis-information.

I guess its one of them things where the could decline it if they wanted to with miss match names.

I think it all depends on how much money is flowing from paypal to the rushcard

RobFagles 03-19-2009 01:15 PM

HWGA, I don't wish to start a war here.

You're telling us what the site says. I'm telling you from practicality, as I have used the Rush Card as a bank account for stealth accounts and all deposits are coming in fine, despite differences in names.

doughboykilla 03-19-2009 01:27 PM

How many Rush Cards u got Rob?

What the site says is what the rules are..
Just because you got away with it (that is good for you) DOES NOT mean that everybody will.
