Maximum # of WAMU or BOA checking/savings accounts

So how many Wamu or BOA checking or savings accounts do you have open currently? Has anyone ever had a bank turn them down when you tried to open an account online?

I have more than 10 CURRENT BOA Accounts.
I have already closed 2X that many.

WAMU limits you to 10 Sets (Checking & Savings) before they force you to show up in person.

ok, just checking. I have had over 10 wamu accounts and about 10 open now, but I am about to switch over to BOA if I need more.

I have 9 or 10 BOA accounts, I've closed two before by somehow finding the close account link. I can longer find it, where is at on the online banking?

as far as i knew there was no way to do this online.

I have it done it with two account for sure, I just don't remember how. Somewhere I found a "Close Account" button, but I have searched and searched and can't find it again.

HWGA, how do you close yours? Do you call?

You can call BOA or go to a local branch.
As far as I know there is not a "Close Account" link for your BOA accounts.
If there is I have never see it.

For BOA, you can generally send them a customer support message and they will reply telling you they are sorry to see that you are closing an account and that they will process the closure within five days.

I'm not sure if you referring to emailing them or chatting with them, but they do have a Live Chat, which should be a lot faster.

I have 8 accounts and tried opening up a 9th and they denied me and said to come in to speak with someone in person. I will try one more time.

all this opening and closing of account, will it show up on some kind of credit report?

I called bank of america, I asked How many bank accounts can I open? I do business online. Response was - There is no limit many as you want.
