Warning for selling outside eBay
 

Got a message saying they have monitored and seen that I may be selling outside eBay

Some buyers ask for better price outside eBay
Sometimes I ask buyer to call me and provide a contact no when they message to buy item

Sometimes buyers see item and ask to collect,after they have collected sometimes cash I end the listing


They say they can suspend account for this? Anyone have any experience and what should I not too. Obviously will stop selling outside eBay if they contact via eBay to do so but sometimes the Listing itself has contact no in the description and they buyer calls and text to make a deal outside eBay. Should I remove contact no and email in item description ? It's good sometimes if they just want bit more info on item

It's against the rules to use ebay to sell outside of ebay. You have been warned by ebay and they will suspend you if you repeat what you are doing.

Yep, dont even mess around with it. If you want to do this start your own website with the prices you offer and drive traffic to that (not through ebay of course).

I would recommend if you do it, don't accept the payments on the same PayPal

The type of items I sell a lot are large heavy automotive items and therefore sometimes collection only.

The advert description has contact no and emai so buyers can contact to arrange collection
As they collection only most buyers just turn up and pay cash or PayPal and then I just end listing

Is accepting cash on collection allowed? And if they click buy now and collect and pay cash ?

There should be an option to 'pay upon pickup'
