My restricted account went to top rated seller
 

My oldest real eBay account was got restricted from selling for digital delivered goods about 4 months ago now it got moved up to top rated seller most of the things I sold were digital never uploaded tracking. I think I'll be calling back in the beginning of January and try one last time to get it unrestricted.

Also my 2nd real eBay account was below standard and moved up to above standard.

I think after a year I'll have a better chance at getting my accounts unrestricted.

What was the percentage of your below standard ??
How many months did it take you to move from below standard to above standard ??

It took a year I had to wait for the transaction to be a year old for it to go off the record. I think it was like a .6 or something I'm not sure though don't feel like changing IP to check, canceled like 3 orders the wrong way when I was selling gift cards cause the buyer looked like a scammer. Now I know the right way to cancel the order where it don't affect you but I don't sell gift cards anymore. Anyways lesson learned.

Thinking about calling up now and being like if I'm a top seller why am I restricted from selling no returns, everything perfect or should I wait longer?

Just an update I finally decided to call yesterday and she said they would appeal my restriction to call back in 24hrs. I just called back and this dude says the last person gave me false information that an appeal was never filed and can't be filed in my case. I'm like wtf and he like ya we can't do anything sorry. Oh well my stealth accounts are 90 days old now and doing good. I just thought as being a top rated seller and paying my fees with no returns wtf is the problem but they really don't care. They do not like digital delivered goods oh well I'll keep selling them.

I'm in the same situation as you are, I've cancelled 3 orders from the same person as I believed he did not have good intentions and I got restricted.
The lady from Ebay that I've spoken to told me that the restriction is forever, but here you say that after one year when they will go away I will be able to sell again?

He said they wouldn't let him back on after a year. It didn't go away.

Digital products is close to being a death wish, although one guy here yesterday was saying he does it and succeeds, search the threads if you're interested.

Learn to make backup accounts and avoid relying on only 1 account with a negative restriction on it.

Thank you for your replies guys, not what I was hopping for but I believe I will have to go on the way of the Stealth in the end.

I do have a a chance to appeal though, the lady from Ebay told me that I would have about 50/50 chance to get my selling restriction off

Do you guys have any advice on what to tell them in my appeal email??

How do you cancel them now?
Do you say the buyer requested a refund?

Why was your account restricted, what reason did they give so we can give you comment on it.
