Copyright violation
 

I've been selling DVD's all legitimate sealed items I buy locally. Mostly I have no trouble, but a few have been hit for copyright violation and now I just got a 7 day restriction. I called ebay and they said they couldn't tell me what I violated because of possible "abuse" of the information.

I've read and read and I think it's because I write what is on the box word for word. Is that what's getting me hit??? Why can't they just tell me if that's it!

It could be the company that distributes these is not happy, or they think they are not real, as they are often copied, you will see by the takedown notice if it is a vero member or just competitor/generic..

In scenario 2 a receipt of purchase may help, in scenario 1 it wont.

Usually they will highlight what was said that is copying someone elses work.

^^^Don't forget it's silly season on ebay at the moment with these takedowns. Read saijin's posts about those problems. DVD takedowns are sentnearly with a generic message over the past 5 weeks.
