Does 2x VERO or DMCA in a row = permanent ban?
 

So I've been hit. VERO because of copyright. The complainer is the legitimate rights holder. Had a bunch of listings removed, but nothing else happened.

If any of my other products get hit with a VERO or DMCA, will I be permanently banned this time? Or are there other, less serious, degrees of negative stuff that can happen to me?

I still have other accounts that are untouched, so it's not a catastrophe. It is just that I have sentimental reasons to keep this account.

Usually its a soft ban at first, then a second harder ban and then a perm ban

They can jump straight to the perm ban though if eBay wants to

I would avoid relisting that same item or any others that may get a VERO if you want to avoid risking the account

So a soft ban is just that they remove the offending listings and tell me not to list them again? Because that is what they have done.

You are lucky that the account has not gone down right away - does not mean that eb might not end your account later on.

You have not been "soft banned" at all - your account has not been suspended.

it's better to start taking your photos and revise the description.
I got ban from VERO and now had to start over :(

IV had a few. First Vero is warning and Vero listings removed. Then 7 day ban . Then 30 day. Then your toast. I'd leave that account alone for a good few months.

There are no hard and fast rules they are based on a # of factors. I received 13 veros in a week once and was not banned.

Agreed. I sometimes get a lot of ebay complaints (vero and others) and nothing happens, while other times I will wake up to a suspension. There is no discernable pattern to their behavior.

my account got a "warning" and i was told i could not list anything for 30 days.. pretty annoying but it seems the account is safe. this is the 2nd time i've gotten a warning on this account too
