eBay Suspension after opening it
 

Hi Brothers,

I'm based in Romania and tried to open eBay account on eBay.com
Just after opening my seller account and posted my first item ebay messaged me my account was risky and needed to verify informations with me.
All good and i called them ... passed all questions because used my real name address etc..... also tried same with stealth account. After all verification the operator told me we are sorry but we can't reset your ebay account and you need to search another platform to sell.
ALso keep asked what is the reason and they told me can't give me a reason for now.

Any idea ? anyone had the same situation ? and if yes ... how we can pass this situation.

The resps don't give a reason cause they don't know the reason. These suspensions are done by bot sweeps and theyre not told the reasons so they wont have the ability to pass those on - so YOU wont have that info and wont have the ability to find a way around those suspensions. Makes perfect sense if you think about it.
And this sort of suspension is related usually to the fact there is not enough history created for the account, a poor IP solution being used, and a high risk first item.
Give us more info on the three factors I mentioned and maybe we can zero in on what went wrong.

The person you speak ill of was being helpful to OP as has he to a ton of people on this forum. That's why he's got the EV badge.

If you have a score to settle, take it to PM. Disrupting OP's thread only to disparage another member is not fair towards OP and other readers.

I called eBay today to reinstate my account and I was asked a really strange question! After giving her all the info she needed she said ok here's some last names that I would like you to tell me which one is familiar to you and she mentioned 6-7 words and I was like what the f*:k is this what she is trying to say here my last name isn't mentioned within these names.

I then said I'm not familiar with any of these, she kept silent for a second or two and said "are you sure" and I answered "Yes".

Did anyone of you face the same scenario/situation before?

They are testing to see if one of these names is related to you.

Do you mean that maybe the IP address I'm connecting from was already used to create multiple accounts and they want to know if I'm trying to get back to the platform by mentioning last names of people that already used the same IP to connect/create an eBay account?

I'm using a VPS, by the way!

Yeah.

Everyone is sharing the same pool of IP's.

The only differentiating factor is the fact we have our own unique set of browser cookies, name, email, number, vcc etc

So if several things match they are inclined to permanently suspend. But the fewer things that match in beginning gives you an opportunity to build rapport with ebay/paypal establishing yourself.
