Seller rights removed due to inactive account for 1 year.

Hello

Firstly sorry if I posted in the wrong section.

I have an ebay account with over 8000+ feedbacks and was an active seller. Unfortunately I had to take some time away from selling and had not used my account for a year or so.

Upon logging in last week I was unable to list any items, I called ebay support and they stated that even though I have X amount of positive feedbacks the selling performance indicator has dropped over the year. I explained to the ebay rep why this was and he could see I was inactive for year but he stated that ebay's decision is final.

Can I do anything about this? this account was my lively hood and was my only form of income.

any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

+8000 feedback.how many are neutral and negative and are they recent ?
YOU can try calling and talk to another rep,if the answer is the same, then you have to find another venue to sell or someone would suggest u open a stealth account.

Re: Seller rights removed due to inactive account for 1 year.

OP, You don’t have to sell continuously or even regularly. What you do have to do is keep your “seller performance” above a certain level.

Your seller performance can be damaged by defects. You can get these for unresolved eBay and PayPal disputes, amongst other things.

So, if you have had any disputes/cases opened against you which you haven’t sorted out before, due to not logging in to your account, eBay/PayPal may force this on your account.

This may have earned defects on your account. Just a thought!
