I think VeRO members and eBay know about computers, scanners, image-editing and printers. If they're gonna yank a listing, I'm not sure a photo of a piece of paper with printing on it would stop them. Just my opinion, wiser heads who have done it will correct me, I'm sure. | It works and works quite well. |

I find that once you have had even a minor disagreement on an account with another ebayer, that account is more prone to takedowns, now it is either ebay watching you more or its that ebayers getting back at you, its no coincidence that smooth sailing accounts get way more vero staying up.
I am sceptical about the takedown workaround as I had an account suspended for vero and I got in touch with vero owner stating my goods were genuine and in any case I wouldnt list them again, the vero owner emailed ebay on behalf asking to reinstate me and copied me in and ebay just ignored all emails, they didnt want me to win, end of story.
I dont believe that ebay thinks an account owner has any teeth and will do anything to them for not replying. all you can do is email, livehelp or phone, they know you will give up at some point.
Id like to hear from someone who has challenged a takedown using this method and won. has anyone here actually followed the steps eg get counternotice and then relist if not taken to court etc?
Can you do it regularly on same account?
Wont ebay just totally get angry with you, get you for something else or keep taking you down, knowing they are wasting your time too? |

| oompaloompa | 03-12-2009 07:40 AM | yes, Ive looked at it
I personally dont agree that ebay simply lies on its back and surrenders when you issue all this counter stuff on the takedown work around, I think it may be dangerous to advise forumers to fight ebay on this, it may draw much more unwanted attention to them and get them suspended. If there is a stalker on the account or that particular item is just too risky, I would lie lower on that account. I have several accounts that sell risky vero and some can take it and some get takedowns much more, its a bit of a mystery, but as I said, the common factor for me has been previous buyers, I think, when you sell vero you are always vunerable to that, or maybe im paranoid, might just be coincidence.....
Tabberone is refering to federal lawsuits etc, most of us have a life other than ebay and arent going to go that far. I respect her initiative and strength, plus she sounds like toblerone and anything to do with chocolate is alway going to win with me!
I would like to hear from anyone who has and won, without going to court or doing anything other than emails. |

There are some really affordable, and easy to use, web site building programs out there. One I've heard a lot of good things about is WebPlus X2. |
| GreenBean | 03-12-2009 07:47 AM | ^^^foster, tabberone does all of her own work. I do not think she is worried about this too much.LOL |
| foster | 03-12-2009 08:03 AM | Just saying they might get more business if it didn't look like a free page from the mid 90s'.
Hey, whatever works for you. |
| tabberone | 04-01-2009 05:01 PM | I have as much business as I can handle. I sell fabric. That's a touchy feely kind of product. People want to know if the fabric is right for their project, want to share what they are making, send me pictures of their pets etc. |
| ovidiu | 04-12-2009 02:05 PM | Hey tabberone, welcome to the forum. Good to see you here. |

| timtim | 11-02-2009 02:32 AM | Veroed!! Please add "CHI FLAT IRONS" to that list IMMEDIATELY!! |
| jbluntz | 11-14-2009 09:05 PM | Selling vero is easy, I had an item I couldn't sell because ebay said I needed a verified paypal account to sell that item, which i dont only use moneybookers, and before I recieved that message I had already listed some and ebay only allows 5 day or more auctions for that item. So I just simply delete the description and put something that doesn't have any key words related to the item and change the title, took out the name and ony use part of the added on acronyms that people are familiar with, kept the same picture and same catogorie and now I've been selling about 4 a day with 1 day auctions, ebay's system doesn't recognize it. |
| oompaloompa | 11-16-2009 05:59 AM | ^^^ Ive seen those auctions they are much safer but get way less revenue per item |
| jbluntz | 11-16-2009 06:07 AM | That's what I thought to but mine get the same 4 is just the number i stick with for now plus 1 buy it now or best offer and each 4 sells every day at 800 to 1000% profit margin as soon as 1 sells I relist and within an hour already has bids on it. |
| shoot2kill | 11-16-2009 12:36 PM | I do few vero work arounds, but nothing serious profits sometime 300%-400% but 1000% w/4 @ $800 a piece, thats good ****! Keep it up! |
| jbluntz | 11-17-2009 12:27 AM | Actually there only $50 a piece and cost me $5 a piece, if my math isn't mistaken that would be 1000% and they sell like mad. I'm only taking it it slow because I'm on a new account. |
| casual92king | 11-19-2009 02:42 PM | can anyone confirm that ebayhateluv theory works? and will it get me good traffic even if it does, thanks guys |
| oompaloompa | 11-20-2009 05:12 PM | ^ I personally do not think it works well, it may get you some sales but nowhere near as quick and as many bids as if you put in brand name. When I see one in fact I will buy it myself, as I know what to look for eg. designer style bag, or cc shoes. The seller has obviously been caught by a takedown and wants to offload goods without waiting and resting account or they have reached their 30 day limit and want to offload, I buy it and sell it at 4 times the price using brand name... |
| jbluntz | 11-20-2009 06:45 PM | Well me I have to turn down buyers, I've got people begging for this stuff and it still sells at the exact same price that the ones with the company name sell at.. |
| oompaloompa | 11-21-2009 01:03 PM | yes, I think in certain catagories , it can be done like buntz said, say if someone is looking for the generic item, say flat irons, then sees pic of branded one and thinks whoa |
| jbluntz | 11-21-2009 01:12 PM | Also alot of it has to do with the name as well , items that have several words in the name like software you can easily remove the companies name and have plenty of words to use that people use in their search. | | All times are GMT -5.
