** Ebay REINSTATEMENTS-- Read This!!!

HI:
Well, Besides experimenting with accts that get taken down, for "abusing", Ive been working with getting those accts "brought back to life"... :)

Heres some things Ive discovered:

a.) For me Personally, during the last 2-3 week periods, the newest acct around, even 3 days old, seem to be "Stealthier", than even the 6 month old accts I am using... why?

b.) Well, the accts were taken down for "stupid" stuff, too many listings, using bold, featured, etc, etc.. u guys know what i mean...

c.) Those accts were now brought back to life, by reinstatement,
d.) I have listed the same items, on a 6 month old acct
as well, on my acct which is now 13 days old,, (13 day old acct--listed on day 1, day 2, day 3, taken out, info faxed on day 4, again on day 9, again to diff fax on day 13--acct back up)..

e.) The 13 day old acct, now has over 80 listings
f.) When i try 80 listings on a new acct, even 3 months old---it gets taken out..
g.) 1 step further--- I listed Rolex items over the weekend on the 13 day old acct--not a problem.
h.) The 13 day old acct, has also sold 8 vero items, with buy it nows, fb up to exactly 10 since saturday...
i.) the 3 month old acct, fb at 24, listed 1 rolex item, taken down.... WHY??

YOU tell me ???

ANYHOW-- My point is, If im gonna use an acct, I am not gonna waste a 3-6 month old acct on Vero items, Im gonna use a fresh one-- PURPOSELY get it taken down on day 1 or 2, get it back up, and then sell like CRAZY!!! :))

>>>> TIP of the day: <<<<

They give you a fax number of: 1-877-684-7340, on their generic reinstatement form..

(Have used it over and over again)-- I think their bogged down,,
*** I found another fax, from an older reinstatement from 2 yrs ago....
*** FACT: I have faxed the paperwork, 3 times to the 684-7340 number in the past month,,no answer..
>> YESTERDAY---used this fax number:
1-877-349-1798.... just checked my email---- Guess what??
-- THAT acct is now up!!!! :)))

>> I am assuming maybe its an old T+S fax, that hardly no one knows about? Maybe its a Secretarys fax? I dont know, but its worked 3 times now for me.. :))
As Always, Good Luck :))

GreenBean 03-10-2008 10:15 PM

As always, top information.
I think I can say that with you 'ebayhateluv where there is a will there is a fax number!

ebaysdumb 03-11-2008 12:32 PM

so do you think it is better to give ebay what they want with a 7 day suspension (copy of utility bill, state or govt issued ID) and fax that into them, or should I just let it go and start a new acct.... (banned for 7 because of vero)
Thanks!!!

GreenBean 03-11-2008 01:19 PM

See if it can work for you as ebayhateluv has outlined. Make like you reallllyyyy
care. Take the tutorial, play their game. This is a learning time so see what happens.

ebaysdumb 03-11-2008 01:40 PM

okay sounds good- I have taken the tutorial already, and then had 2 more things pulled for violation, now I've been suspended for 7 days... so I am on my out the door ;)....
I just wasn't sure if I saw a reason for them to have a copy of my govt ID- they are going a bit over board, but then again that is nothing new.
Thanks for the help!

GreenBean 03-12-2008 05:03 PM

Your sense of humor will help as well ! LOL.

becca073 03-18-2008 12:09 PM

Question for you ebayhateluv about account reinstatements. Have you tried to get any old accounts reinstated? Like ones that were taken down several years ago? Back then they gave you no damn warnings, 7 day suspension periods, etc. They just banned you. Just curious.

ebayhateluv 03-18-2008 12:45 PM

Hi-simple answer is no....When July rolls around I'm gonna try my 4 Ps accts that they took out in 2007...I never had a problem all these yrs until 2007.. the only reason I was selling from 4 accts- was to split my inventory up + some customers who catch an attitude w/ u..they go over + buy my same product from me...unknowing..so I didn't loose sales...Some customers are very rude..no matter what u do..After one ebay Live session I think it was 2004-we started to place candy in w/purchases...had people write me-saying am I fat+ gotta give it away etc....If they only knew..I'm less than 100lbs dressed..;)

becca073 03-18-2008 03:28 PM

So for the older accounts, you would just log in via dial up (right to make sure no IP matches) and then send them a message through the system asking for reinstatement? I may try it. Got nothing to loose right? LOL

sdot10 04-01-2008 08:29 PM

Wow I just tried this number you gave and it is amazing. Account suspended a year ago figured id try. Dummied up all the stuff and sent out the email on sunday. Got a response mid day monday saying that "they needed extra information as to why the addresses didnt match up" The account was so old that I forgot the address haha

I sent them a fax this morning saying that I was living with my girlfriend at the time and we broke up. Within 3 hours. REINSTATED.

That number is definately a keeper for now.

yogarelax 05-03-2008 04:49 PM

You are having entirely TOO much fun!!!
I love this.

guitarca18 05-06-2008 09:17 AM

One of the reasons your older account might be taken out quick is because of the new DSR's. The good feedback could be putting you at the top of search results and thus your more visible then on an account with less feedback and age.

divine422 05-06-2008 11:19 AM

Im def going to try an reinstate some old accounts. Also i had a couple accounts that i never listed or bought on but they were suspended. However they still ask for invoices or whatever. Should i say well i havent sold anything on the account or send in invoices of what i plan on selling?

Is this number still working? I sent a fax in about 3 days ago and still havent heard anything. Should I use the other number?

spikemebay 06-12-2008 01:29 PM

Hello, I am new, Ebay says you have to wait a week before faxing your reinstatement information to them. What info do I send them, copy of my drivers licence, if I don't have to I'd rather not. Can I give them bogus information. Do you have to wait the week or can I fax it over immediately?

nyankoproject42 06-30-2008 01:42 PM

My account was suspended last Friday (6/27) for a minimum of 7 days. I’ve already faxed today, but should I have waited until this weekend?

Also, can I still use that number 1-877-349-1798 ? My reinstatement form has a phone # (888) 259.6962.

iptaylm 10-06-2008 10:19 AM

Hello from a newbie, trying using the newer fax # of 1-877-349-1798 to see if that gets any of my account reinstated. Wish me luck!

SaveMe 11-13-2008 04:28 PM

New to the Forum

Glad to have found you, and I see I have a lot of reading to do.

My account was suspended this summer during a period when I was very ill and my husband was hospitalized. I forgot to put my storefront on vacation status and consequently got some orders that weren't fulfilled right away. I did eventually ship everything or send refunds. I'm not a crook. (and not Nixon either)

Anyway, I got suspended with them saying that I fell into the bottom 1% of all sellers. How that is possible with a feedback rating of almost 8,000 is a mystery. I wrote to eBay and explained the situation, but they never responded. What a shock.

A couple of weeks ago my son opened up an account using his email address, his credit card, and bank account. Today that account was suspended because he is related to me! What the #@!

Now what?

I have a cable modem and he used ChannelAdvisor/Marketworks to launch his auctions, but that's where I have my storefront. What to do? I am desperate.

TGMT² 11-13-2008 05:22 PM

Hi SaveMe!
You're right....you have a lot of reading to do!

Or you can get the "Stealth Book" and save yourself about 48 hours of reading all the threads and posts on this forum.

Now that you found us...Your new ebay account will be up and running for the Christmas rush! :)

SaveMe 11-13-2008 05:50 PM

This is simply too good to be possible. Can I do it without spending lots of money I don't have?

roflchristine 12-09-2008 02:58 PM

I listed an auction for Adobe Photoshop CS3 the disc and my account was suspended for copyright infringement. Apparently they thought I was selling illegal serial codes or something. I have contacted eBay over 20 times telling them that I would like my account reinstated but they will not do it unless i send in all that crap through the mail. So 5 days ago I sent it in, and I still haven't heard from them back. When will my account be back up? It has been suspended for over a month.

backagain 12-12-2008 12:32 PM

Yes. You may even save money if you create multiple ebay accounts and continually stiff ebay on fees.

backagain 12-14-2008 01:48 AM

True. I agree. It must be created properly.

Vicvelcro 04-18-2009 06:12 AM

Perhaps the secretary is not so happy with her/his employer and is willing to facilitate reinstatements (as a get-back)?!?

Just sayin'... If I had a job in their office from years ago, and my work environment changed drastically in the recent past but I didn't have much hope for changing my employ, I'd stick with the job for the paycheck but make mischief , reinstate accounts, do evil things....Well, you get the idea.

HOLY COW! I purchased the Ebay Stealth and Amazon Stealth eBooks and everything. However, I just so happened to send eBay an email asking why my old seller account had been blocked... and they ended up reinstating my seller account after 1.5 years of suspension. I was ecstatic!

Now I have a question... my seller account was blocked due to:
1) being linked to a previously suspended user
2) low buyer satisfaction

Ebay's message says that they reinstated my account because "We have reinstated your account now that we've noted significant improvements in your recent buyer satisfaction results."

My question is... even if I now reinstated, will I still have the possibility of being suspended since I am linked to a previously suspended user??????? HELP!

Isparana 01-16-2010 04:58 PM

Where do I get the forms to fax them? Ebay is blowing off my requests for such forms.

How could you have recent buyer satisfaction on suspended account?

If you have a stealth account How do you fax the forms. Every fax has the number that you fax from on everypage.?? So if this is a stealth account in another stat than which you are actually in how do you get around this. By law a fax has to contain the number from which you transmit from. Or is ebay starting to let down there guard because of wandering sellers and there wandering revenue...

mdwxl3 05-20-2010 03:48 PM

I'm in the same boat!

Purchased some Style Like stuff from DHgate and now they want the same info...

1) Proof of the name and address you have on file with us
2) Proof that the items you listed are in your possession - a receipt,
bill of sale or agreement with your supplier for each of these items:

Part one is done! Its part two that I have a problem with. I fax in the invoices from DHgate (Crazy, my copies even shows that DHgate accepts PayPal by the PayPal logo at the bottom of my copies). I guess a hard lesson learned. If eBay see anything from DHgate... DOOMED!:tears:

So is there away around this with some Invoice Templates that will pass the eyes at ebay?:noidea:

I bought a phone card then connected the phone to the multi-function fax... punched in the phone card details once it connected to the ebay fax machine I hit send on my fax.... Phone cards come up as unavailable.

you can even mention on your comments that you don't own a fax so you are sending from the post office even though the Post Office will charge $4 a page (over here) so stuff that.

ptenchick 06-15-2010 11:44 AM

My 7-year-old Ebay account was limited 7 months ago for a period of 1 year minimum...i was selling Vero like crazy at that time and didn't even know what Vero was... I was suspended many times for 7 and 31 days till I hit a 1-year suspension...They didn't ask for anything, though...No Id verification, no bills, no invoices -- nothing!! They just limited the account and that's it!!

The weirdest thing is I still get monthly bill statements from Ebay with my $14 credit on my account...

I don't even know what to think...Anyway, should I try to reinstain it?

FonkyChicken 06-16-2010 01:14 AM

Depends............... if you had a tonne of bad feedback and you ask for re-instatement they will review your account and might decide to suspend you indefinately.

If you haven't had a tonne of negative or nuetral feedback...and you can supply them with the documents you might be lucky. Some accounts that have come under pressure can be re-instated but it can also depend on if you get a nice ebay rep answering your e-mails or phone conversations.

I think you just need to weigh up the risk if you want to bring your account and yourself into the light and can afford the risk on yourself.

Otherwise buy Ebay stealth if you haven't already create new accounts and spread your vero out to minimise the risk.

slapped 06-16-2010 09:37 AM

If you got a 1 year suspension as opposed to an indefinate suspension then your account will be reinstated automatically, now if you are asking if you should to try to get it reinstated sooner, then my advice would NO because Ebay may well turn around and suspend you for good, besides you have served 7 months of the suspension anyway you are more that Half way there

ptenchick 06-16-2010 10:05 AM

Hi, I just have 2 stupid negatives.
A stealth book? What is it? Lol..:) I bought it almost half a year ago...That's why you can see a Subscribed VIP symbol next to my avatar....:)

NowaDays that does Not mean much either, if you have 1000 positives and ONLY 2 negatives that you got within a month The chances are Very good that you will get suspended, that was a Policy change Ebay enacted quite some time ago, so in essence your TOTAL Feedback score means NOTHING to Ebay anymore, you are only as good as you have been recently.

That is very true. I have a total of near 6000 fb, 99.2% , but that doesn't count for anything. Got suspended due to a few knocks bunched up in one 4 week period - a few INR ( just impatient buyers) 2 negs out of 90 pos in one month, and BAM - I am a bad seller!!
I do not deal in Vero or any risk items , just everyday stuff.
You are only as good as your last 4 weeks.

I got a suspension due to SNP , no Vero.
I called customer support to enquire bla bla, and they told me I fall under the 1% bs, and that I am indefinately suspended.

I wrote a letter to explain my current circumstances , point by point discussing the "strikes" against me.
Today i get a T&S message back, saying no they cannot reinstate me, but will continue to monitor my progres or whatever and will re-evaluate at a later time.

Question: does this mean I have a chance , despite what the rep said on the phone?
