Let my friend use my Paypal now she's suspended
 

I let my friend send payments to my Paypal account for a few clothes she wanted to sell on eBay and now eBay sent her a MC999. I feel like a jerk. I wasn't even thinking about my old eBay account being tied to that Paypal. Did I just ruin her perfectly fine account for her? The MC999 is vague and doesn't mention anything.

She's going to call tomorrow. I just want to set her expectations low...

That is exactly what an MC999 is.

I suspect ebay may be wondering about the transfers given there are name differences?

Is your old ebay 'good' or suspended. That may be trouble.

There's always a chance - if she hasnt had problems in the past, she may be ok. But tell her to have ID documentation in case. She could also have been linked to a different account if she has logged in on a different computer than her regular. Lot of variables to deal with - sorry :(

If she calls and has no linkage to your old accounts or has any banned accounts of her own she will have issues.

If she has a clean pp and eb account with some age and never had issues she will be ok. But expect her to be prepared to show some docs.

Does her pp have all her real info etc?

Thanks everyone. Her eBay is all hers and all real. She doesn't have a Paypal account and didn't want to set one up and wait. Anything she sold I was just going to withdrawal with PP debit card for her. I guess she'll call tomorrow. I'll prepare her for the worst :-(

That's going to be the hassle, your old ebay account.

If it is suspended, then the perception may be that this account was trying to get around the issue.
