Suspended Account getting Selling Promotions???
 

Hi guys, so the weirdest thing happened to me today, and I'm just wondering if anyone else has had experience with this. I had an account recently suspended (within the past couple weeks) "indefinitely" due to low DSR. I only had two or three low ratings, but since I was only allowed to sell 30 items/month, I had no chance to get the rating back up. Today, I check my Gmail associated with the account, and there is a Google voice message from Ebay giving me a seller promotion for $100 maximum final value fees for any item sold, from now until September 16. I don't want to sign into the account if I'm not going to be allowed to sell, so if anyone has any advice/experience, please let me know. Thanks guys!!

This is the classic left hand of ebay not having a clue what the right hand is doing.

Would be sure that the system could not catch these notices.

Wise choice to not sign into the account ( at the moment).

I had issues years ago like this. Nice happy news regarding suspended accounts. Found out it was meaningless and plain cruel.

Thanks for the input GreenBean! I guess I'll just let the account sit for a long time and then call Ebay, probably 6-12 months from now to try for a reinstatement :)

6 months is a good bet - you could try in 3 months OP - just keep the account active with buying and "wholesome" activities as GB suggests.

been selling restricted on real account for 2 years now. I still grt seller promotions all of the time. Still cant sell though. Bummer.

If you want them to cease you have to log in to your acct and go to Preferences to stop all phone and email promo's. Those Idiots will never stop calling if you don't.

They still send emails maybe less but I got an email 5 months after my account was closed saying congrats your a powerseller and still get promotions all the time , it's all automated and it just shows how over extended they are
