Is my account gone??
 

So my original ebay account that Ive had since 2007 was restricted 6 months ago for selling VERO items. I thought that if I left it alone for a while they would eventually unrestrict my account but that doesnt seem to be the case. The way my account got suspended was me being an inexperienced seller called ebay to try and get my limits raised and they flagged my iphone cases and removed all my listings. I thought ebay worked on a strike system or something of the sorts and would eventually lift my restrictions. Does it work this way or should I just skip this account forever now. My paypal thats linked to this account is still in good standing. But i havent used either since this has happened on ebay. What do you guys think????

If eBay suspended you for selling counterfeits, then you will NOT likely get the account back. Since you have nothing to lose here, I would call eBay and ask for the account to be reinstated and see what they say. If they ask, I would say the items I sold were NOT counterfeit, but generic non-branded items and you have no idea why they would think otherwise.

Definitely try to get it back u have nothing to lose and everything to gain , use any knowledge u learned from this forum and work it ur best and call everyday .

I had a power selling account restricted from selling and a Paypal limited all in the last 5 weeks and with ebay I called everyday sometimes twice a day

They honestly have no idea what's going on over there they are so swamped with invoices limited accounts they probably just have a like of invoices all over the floor from all the faxes

On the 19 of sept ebay restricted me So I sent what they needed and called everyday because if u don't they will never get to ur account

Finally sept30 I called and got a great rep who wasn't as rough as the others and was like ok u sent them in let's take a look so we can get up and running, he looked at it and said it wasn't enough money to include all the products sonobuoy the page he was lookin at and the total got cut off he was looking only at the 10% discount I just explained it reAl quick and with a push of a button was back up.

If it was any other rep than him I think I would of been done, I was shocked with the outcome

Also a new Paypal was limited I faxed what they Asked few hours was reinstated.

And even if u don't get reinstated u will learn what they ask you and what mistakes u made and correct them so u will have better first hand knowledge with dealing with the enemy.

And when u do get reinstated it feels good to know we are gaining power here, I'd definitely of gave up in the past

And a big factor is the person u talk to the more people u talk to I feel the better chance u get someone in a great mood

Yea i was thinking about what I could try. The cases I sold where otterbox ⊗⊗⊗⊗ although none of my customers complained. I was thinking I could wait till the listing where to old to pull up and try and call them generic but I don't know. I never faxed in any invoices as they where from aliexpress and I know they won't accept those. So I don't really know what I could say when they ask me where I got the cases.

otterbox is a hot counterfeit item and if they came from aliexpress then id state me reputation they were ⊗⊗⊗⊗.

Normally, before it disappeared, there was a policy violation traffic light system which would allow you to still sell on the account and as long as the specific policy wasn't violated again within 6-9 months i.e kept it totally squeaky clean.

However if your account was suspended i.e. cant sell then I'm afraid its toast for the account! Time for stealth.

Time to go into full stealth mode.

Ebay is harsh on accounts that get taken down for vero violations but it might be worth a shot.

@OP, I would try a call in to ATTEMPT to save the account - been 6 months, be professional...know your account and plead your case - you might have a chance, not 100% though...sadly.

You should make backup accounts regardless

If you get dinged by Vero your chances are of getting the account back is next to none. If you get dinged for trademark violation or something along that line. It is possible if you can provide documentation etc to get it back. Usually if these are more established accounts in the US you get your items removed and are banned from ever listing in the category again. Some people have gotten them back, But it heavily scrutinized and expect to spend hours on the phone with customer support. They ask for business license, state tax identification, etc. Even if you pass that there is no guarantee. If it is a stealth account I would say you are done. If it is a legit account with all your info then in that case you might have a slim chance of getting it back.

But again if you go down by Vero that means the actual owner of the brand etc, has reported your listings. I have never seen anyone get an account back after that. Honestly, in this case you may be lucky that you don't get a cease and desist letter. Or even worse a certified letter in the mail from the brand ownership going after you for damages.

Use the pp account for other things outside eB if you cant get eB restored.
