Hi, I found my way here as my husband has an old suspended ebay account so every time he tried to set up a new account in a different name it just deletes all the new listings. He can buy but he cant sell, and he cant delete the old account.

Were looking into stealth accounts but have some questions. Firstly, I run my own business and have an ebay shop and really dont want him jeopardising my ebay shop, can it be linked to mine in any way?

We both work on apple macs, Ive heard that they cant trace IP addresses on macs, is this correct? Do they trace the IP address you set up the account on or the one you use?

Stealth properly organized allows for NO links - it's a good method to follow.

Incorrect on your IP issue - yes eB tracks IP addresses - having dynamic IP is key to stealth...making sure IPs dont overlap over accounts

They track all your IP addresses. One used to create the account and any you have used to go on eBay since. They can track the IP address from a Mac. They cannot track a MAC address. Different things.

If you and he have used the same IP address, same address, same computer, same phone number ect then your accounts will be linked.

ebay/paypal can trace what they want to trace. Makes no difference about the 'type' of systems used to access ebay.

If you both use the same IP in your home, your accounts are linked. (More than likely this has already happened.)

Options exist for your husband to take. Make sure he does not one single thing about making new accounts until he has read this forum.

They keep logs of all IPs that you have logged in with. You really need to read the stealth guide carefully before creating any new accounts.

And that's why OP, you can keep your own track of the IP addresses used :)
