what should i do to make sure i'm not discovered using the friend's account? IP address? what else? any info would be greatly appreciated. just about at my wit's end here.

Don't use your friend account ever.
Get the stealth guide, read the forum ask questions and make your own stealth account.

If you prefer, you could buy a ready made account in the marketplace area but, using a friend account, has been discussed here a lot, and is a :nono:

okay, but WHY shouldn't i use friend's account? other than being found out and getting him suspended. so how do i make sure i'm not found out?

Because there are so many things that can and do go wrong.

friendships get broken easily with business.

If you are at your wits ends' now, wait until the friend decides they want to use ebay and want the account.

Please try to understand this advice is being given to HELP you. We are not trying to deprive you of using ebay.

Taxes are a serious matter. Thought of that?

This forum is about "practical advices" for running stealth including the book.

If you follow the rules you could run any account but remember that the life of your account (or you friend's) is very dependend on what you sell and how you sell it and anything can happen in between.

This forum is also about reasons why a friend/relative account should not be used (use search engine)

Creating a brand new stealth account is as easy as make a good pizza. Try do it by yourself.

here's my plan. if anyone could tell me what flaws are obvious, that would be great. take photos of the items i plan to sell, then strip out the EXIF data with graphic converter. email the photos, a general description and the pricing to my friend, who will list the items from his own computer. he will handle the listing, gathering the money, etc. then, when the items are paid for, i will use a neighbor's WIFI to log into his paypal account, then ship the items from my house.

what's wrong with that scenario?

again, a response with a dire warning but no real info. is everyone on here just shilling to get people to buy the guide? how about telling me where i'm going wrong instead of just offering BS responses with no valuable info?

I did not buy the guide for the first few months but, at least, I was humble enough to read the forum before asking questions and I never pretended to get a "definitive answer".
More then else, when I asked questions and someone asked for clarification and posted a question back to me, I was very pleased to answer... something that you do not even take in consideration... like in here.

I created 12 accts, 2 of them got suspended for phantom violations on ebay's part. Your friend has one acct. is that legitimate enough?

Let me ask you a simple question, What is your backup plan IF some how you get your friends account banned, Limited?

And let's say for example...you did get your friends account Limited, Banned? Will you move on to another Family, Friends Info to open more accounts?

The reason we use "Stealth" Accounts is because if any of those accounts go down...we haven't taken anyone down with them.

Also comments like:
Will not get you far on this forum, everyone on here who respond...are responding in your best interest....and to call their responses as "BS" is like a slapping them in the face. The MAJORITY of these users have been in your shoes and have learned the stealth way and are more than happy to help.

If you wish to learn how to Stealth then this is the place to be.

It isnt about shilling for the guide - the questions being discussed are very basic to the stealth process - much easier to just read and be on the same page as a lot of people here.

As for you're 'request' for 'telling me where i'n going wrong' ....wow - you have no credibility on this forum to be demanding answers.

You are prepared to COMPROMISE to get your own ends?

Stealing wifi access from a neighor and logging into another party's paypal is wrong.

paypal will flag the account and limit it.

You need to revisit what you want to do.

At this current moment I would not use a friends account because I believe the sys is very hot right now. They are handing out mcxxx for no reason. I would not risk a friends account til the sys cools down.
