DONT go over your dollar limit

A few of my under radar accounts (I only sell $600-$800 for those accounts) recently got banned.

The limits on those accounts were typical 10/$1k limit. However, was using these accounts to selling high prices oversea stuff.... Go figure.

Anyway, been 3 years with these accounts and decided to go over the dollar limit this month and see if ebay will do anything.

Alright, so I sold roughly $1300 on one, and about $1100 on the other. Both got banned indefinitely.

Needless to say, do NOT go over dollar amount if you do not want to trigger any auto alarm with ebay.

You can think you're slick by putting item for auction and selling more in dollar amount than your limit allows. Naahhhh.... Don't be stupid. I experienced it. So save yourself the headache and heartache by taking it slow.

weird that you just got banned for that.. usually you get warnings first.
Are you sure you didnt trigger something else?

No warnings. No account links. Just a door slammed in the face for these accounts.

It's weird that I was able to sell and get away all these years, but as soon as I went over board, that's when I got the banned treatment.

Yea I never was banned for going over the limit, or ever any warning for the dollar amount

They closed a loophole that worked great especially during the holidays where I could double my selling limits

It worked only on top rated accounts

You used to be able to send a second chance offer and it would not count against your limits, so say if u sold all your items for the month you would still be able to send second chance offers

The only thing on standard accounts they would just get pulled within 2 hours max

On my TRS accounts they would never get pulled, so if u ran 100 auctions on your normal limits you could go back to each one and open as many second chance offers as u wanted

So potentially if you had limits of 100 items you could sell 500 items basically whatever u wanted , sometimes the auctions would be close so for one auction I could send 10 second chance offers and on this TRS account during December they were flying

My limits were 100/5000

And I ended up selling 155/$8300. I figured this out after I sold most of my items already with BIN listings, so 70 went to BIN the last 30 I did auctions and was able to sell an extra 55 items thru second chance offers

But now they completely shut it down and if u send out say 3 second chance offers it takes it right from the limits and if u are out of listings it prompts u to ask for an increase

Re: DONT go over your dollar limit

Never happened to me. Alot of times when I sell in auction, and I have a 10/1000$ limit. I would just put my items so they start at 1000$. Lets say I have 10 items that I start at 100$ each but they finish lets say at 300$ each. So it finished at 3000$ on a 1000$ limit. Never had any problems with that. I am not saying its the best way, but worked for me on couple of accounts so far. Maybe I just got lucky.
