Help! restricted account setting up new business

Hi,
I learned this past weekend my ebay account has been restricted due to minor infractions. We have been on ebay for 10 years. A few months ago our office and a lot of our inventory was destroyed by broken water pipes from the space above us. This lead to some missed orders. We sell prints and books and for our business to function we need to list many items to sell a few.

Researching our last few refractions, they were all for pretty bogus reasons. In any case, is their any appeal process or supervisor to talk to at ebay? Should I even try to talk to someone? Now that my account is restricted is their any chance of me getting back in their good graces? We are in the process of opening a new brick and mortar storefront so we will have a new location.

Would it be possible or should I set up a new account under my wife's name, different bank account, address, store name etc. my concern is they can trace through an IP address. Would I need to buy a new computer, router, for other account? Can both old computer and account and new computer go through same router at store? Can I use sixbit database for both accounts?

We our setting up new internet service tomorrow. Any advice would be deeply appreciated.

All your questions regarding a stealth account are answered in the eBay guide.

Regarding your appeal question, yes it is possible to appeal. I cannot tell you your odds, but I have had an eBay account suspended and re-instated half a dozen times, before they finally shut me down for good. Just call and ask.

start by calling

Call them and explain the situation. Attempt calls a few times and speak to a few different people.

From experience I have found different agents handle things differently ... my most recent experience being negative feedback withdrawal. Refused by 2 agents, the third one removed it. And this was just this week.

I completely agree. You have to be persistent. Keep calling as many times as possible until one of the agents resolved your situation.

Three year old thread... calling now is probably a little late.
