Biggest error I made - Avoid bank tip
 

First stealth account but I'm more confident that I understand what needs to be done on my next account. Very newbie but one many of us can simply avoid.

"We're sorry, we're unable to link that bank account because it is disabled. Please try another bank account."

This statement was shown to me because I linked one of my old Bank Account that I haven't used since 2006 and yet it got logged by Paypal and I called in to find out what the deal was and the Paypal customer support (Better than eBay customer service) told me directly that it was linked to one of my old accounts and he needed the account information again, in which I said I would call in later and reiterate my information to them...

Biggest tip I can give you from that experience check everything and if you are unsure if something is going to link you, just don't take the risk. If you can't remember if it was associated with your previous account. DON'T take the risk unless you really want to gamble it.

That's common knowledge. Bank accounts can be added to one single paypal account and can never be used for any other account ever again - even if removed from the original account.

Yep, it is sometimes the small things that end up screwing us. All Human error but worth a mention, I completely forgot about the account being used nearly 10 years ago. It was just a transaction online though being a guest payment and processing it through Paypal that made me lose this account right now.

I usually closed the account. Don't have to worry about it again and with boa you can nickname your account to your eBay id. I would also recommend writing all your info in a spreadsheet and upload to the cloud in case your PC crashes. Plan ABC.

Revenge brings up an excellent point!

It is IMPERITIVE that you keep a copy of ALL of your stealth account information, even if the accounts have been burned. You never know when you may need it. Too many people just use their hard drives for this and then they crash. Either upload it to the cloud or print it out and keep the papers in a safe place!
