does address of driver license has to be match with ebay registration address
 

Hi,I was suspend by ebay MC017 abusing ebay, and they want to me to provide diver licience and bank statement , with same address of ebay registration address.
My problem is my bank statement address is postal address, so I also use it as ebay's primary address. And the dirver licence's address is different. All the infomation is ture,but it not match the registration address of ebay.
So shall I fax the driver license info to ebay?
What shall I do,please suggest!

Sometimes they'll take a utility bill depending on suspension. That might be easier to shop

It's not too hard, I did it. Remember that eBay is getting a grainy faxed-in paper and they can't exactly look over it with a magnifying glass.

I don't now off i got this from the Stealth Book or somebody on this Forum. But ebay gets so many faxes everyweek, they are not going to check every single detail. Just be creative with a special program If your accounts means a lot to you, or spend the time to make a stealth account.

a special program and about 10 mins worth of time should solve that problem for you.

What I they like on you deleting/crossing out your photo or passport number, for security reasons? Do they want the full everything?l

guys, poll- how may have had accounts limited then successfully unlimited, where these shopped stealth ones, grainy really work?

Like I said, I did :) . Received a 7 day suspension for vero and had to do the send in ID routine. It really works, but I do photography and the ps'ing was easy to get a hang of. If you get a copy of the faxed paper, you'll realize there's no frigging way they can tell if you did a half decent job.

can you recommend a good online fax provider, that doesnt take credit card. and gives you free trial, how about pop fax, used their service and it didnt fax thru, might try again!

I'd never fax ebay my real driver's license. It'd have your photo and your driver's license number, which ebay will keep forever.

Tell them your license is suspended for OUIL or something similar and ask what they will accept instead. They can't really argue with that, can they?

Well, that doesn't conflict with my statement. I wasn't suggesting that OUIL would get anyone completely off the hook. Only that it would explain a LACK OF DRIVER LICENSE. Every state I ever heard of will INSTANTLY confiscate the license of inebriated drivers. That is the only reason I have never been a drinker and driver. But now I'm starting too veer into pollitical turf and would prefer not to go that route.

Claim OUIL revokation and find out what else they will accept. Choose your best option from the list they offer. Maybe a diploma (can buy 50 of those from your spam box, any day of the week), your private detective credentials, copy a check from your bank account but redact the juicy bits (and PS the rest).

The thing is, if you have a PLAUSIBLE reason for not being able to provide something they ask for, they'll give you other suggestions. Anyone who would admit to being busted for drunk driving as reason for not having a license, well how can they argue with that?!? It's not like there's any possible way you could bully the big bad policeman into giving it back. ?Right?

I dont know about US but in UK when they ask for photo ID - means DL/national identity card or passport, nothing else allowed as it isnt valid.

diploma or private detective credentials? That doesnt happen here. Is that classed as valid photo ID in US, lucky you.

About you real ID, Jonas, you dont send that in unless you cover part of number and photo, no way are they having a full copy, if its not real, well
they can have THAT!

Ok they easiest way to upload is to create a seperate user on your PC for that purpose and delete it afterwards, name it whatever name is on the id and the file properties will have that on it, if they were to try and find out.

I can say with certainty that in at least 17 states, if you are separated from your government issued photo identification, you can show a combined multitude of other documents to support that you are in fact you. Doing so, you can re-acquire some form of government issued ID, but it takes time. In the interim, if you continue to produce multiple documents in lieu of gov't photo ID - with the explanation that your ID is pending - that will suffice for damned near everyone (including most cops and courts).

Documents I have known to be acceptable are listed below. The list is only partial, to conserve space and my fingers.

Library card
Birth Certificate
Passport
Work ID card
Medical insurance card

Certificate of ordination

Don't get the impression that any single item is likely to be trusted. Normally, you would have to show several of these together. But the one thing I know to be guaranteed acceptable...

Get fingerprinted by the sheriff in the county of your residence and have them certify a photograph they have taken of you at the time of fingerprinting. Last time I had to do it, it cost me 2 bucks. Anyone who refuses to accept it is subject to being detained by the police and will be answering to a magistrate, if you choose to push the issue.

Back to OP, with photo shopping and all, you would need to match everything and DL to postal address you gave Ebay, right? But, can you have a PO Box as address on your drivers license? I think not.....If Nilnil can get DL with new, never used address, let's say College Campus or something, it would make sense to Ebay that all his mail comes to PO Box and address different on DL could be accepted?

That is where using PS'd transcripts *would* come in handy. Could maybe even get away with saying address on file is home address, but mailing address is rental housing just off campus! This one goes in my notebook.

Yea, I think so too, just am wondering if someone can confirm that you can't have PO Box address on driver license.. I have account with PO Box, even received PayPal debit card recently on that same address.
