I found a guy whos selling a few things I wanted to buy.
I looked at the date he joined at is says "Member: since 15-Mar-09 in United Kingdom"

Thats todays date if im not mistaken. How is he able to setup an account and start selling immediately?? It takes 3-5 days to get verified with the bank account. How is this possible???...

May be an Ebay employee, if they are allowed to sell on Ebay....

With BOA you can verify your bank immediately on Paypal, maybe there's a bank in the UK that also does that?

Make the bank account first: ensure that the account accepts Direct Debit. Take the time to make sure of this. Waste of time otherwise.
Line up a phone number
Create VCC & add funds,
Make and verify paypal by usual methods.
Then when paypal is ready create the ebay account to match paypal details.
Voila, another ebay seller hits the ranks.

I have a bank account accepting DDebits.
I have access to an unused land line phone number.
I can make a VCC with funds.

And thwn you say "when paypal is ready" Can u define "ready"
you elaborate a bit here please?
My "usual method" is to add a physical bank account, with sort code/account number. Can i omit this step?<--would speed things up massively!

Ive started selling same day as set up ebay account, of course its possible, you have paypal done and sorted first, set up ebay, link with pp and list, within a few minutes

I thought there was a way to setup a sellers account without the need of a bank account.

I once did this around January by accident..dont remember how I did it, but i was able to sell without being paypal verified.

ebay needs to be attached to a verified paypal, you dont need a bank account to be verified, you need to do expuse on card, or at least thats what ive been doing.
The rules say to be pp verified you need to add bank, but in practice, Ive added banks to some and not to others and still sold on all of them. Weve obviously got the knack (but we just dont remember how we did it!) I will have to pay attention next time.
