Click and collect packages

hi, just wondering what is normally on the click and collect packages at argos when you collect?

username, customer full name? or is it just the collection code?

Re: Click and collect packages

You just need the code and the name on the parcel.

Most of the time you don't even need the name!

Just show them the email you received saying collection ready. All the details are already on there. You won't need to say/confirm anything.

Do they ask for id when you collect parcels? There are signs in my argos saying id required?

I think this may be store specific. I don't use this service much, but there are occasions I went in collecting multiple parcels, under multiple names, I just showed them all the emails, no questions asked.

If they did ask, I would simply tell them your collecting on behalf of a friend/family member (which if I am correct, is permitted).

If it doesn't work out, just say the relevant person will come and collect - parcel gets returned to sender after 7 days, you get refund.

No ID required for Argos. Long may it continue!

They ask you what name is on the package.

It does get a bit weird when you're doing down with 3 different names

I've had a problem with Click & Collect - it's happened twice times in last twelve months. Buyer did not pick up parcel - literally could not be bothered - and the parcel was returned to my stealth address.
The first time i had access to the address - the second time I did not - so be warned.
I've now stopped using Click & Collect.

Just a heads up, ebay are very slow at enrolling sellers, they seem to be targeting big sellers and random slow sellers (IMO).

If they choose to enrol you, you will get an email saying your now enrolled.

You can as easily choose to opt out.

Not quite.

They removed Click and collect from many sellers if they didnt offer thirty day returns, therefore keeping their TRS status.

If you want signing back up, or enrolling, go on online chat, it gets passed to their CC team and within a day or so, you'll have the option.

No need to use a stealth address for returns, I have used my previous banned addresses for years, never been a problem, just make the address slightly different like Unit E, 11 instead of 11E.
