Changes to ebay feedback
 

Apologies if this is old rope but I never bother reading any Ebay email updates however had this email from there CS when I submitted a request to have some negative feedback removed, Not sure what they have in the pipeline but times appear to be changing.

I am glad to bring you the good news that we recently implemented a new update in which all sellers will no longer be measured by the negative and neutral Feedback that they received from their buyers. In this regard, all the negative and neutral Feedback that the seller received in the current and previous months will no longer count as a defect against their account. Therefore while Feedback is still an important measure of seller performance, the Feedback left by the buyer "XXXXX" will no longer impact your seller rating nor restrict your ability to sell which means that you have nothing to worry about at this point.

They took feedback out of the defect count back around the start of 2016. It doesn't change the fact that lots of negative feedback will have a huge impact on sales. Ebay looks out for sellers who look out for their customers. :amen:

It's been that way for a good while now.

The last changes they made were actually pretty much all for the benefit of the seller!

Making opened cases not count against you was probably the biggest one.
