Re: How to post perfume in the uk
I have fallen foul of this one with them - their list is huge, inc breakables, food......pathetic.
I sell perfume too - Royal mail do take perfume, but not internationally (although you can send what you like anyway). For domestic, they advise to have a sticker on it though re contents.........so are you saying RM do not pay out for perfume, even though they allow it with a hazard sticker? weird, I never claimed from them so dont know.
it would be interesting to know if myhermes or RM still regularly write to buyers mentioning what goods were expected.
I do not use myhermes for perfume, I use RM.
for myhermes, I know you have to write what is in package when you book it, so you could put something similar but not prohibited eg. write toiletries and then claim with a receipt for expensive talc or soap bars in a plastic container.......but with this scenario, the buyer would get a notification saying did you get your 'toiletries' they say nope....job done?
honestly, I have once or twice said to customers that claimed INR, that if courier writes to them, just confirm INR regardless of what they say was in parcel, and they comply....for example, I buy a lot/bundle of goods and the receipt often just has unit numbers and generic/different description, as the contents are mixed.....
