Paying ebay fees

So recently I needed to pay ebay fees of £700 after accidentally not leaving enough in my paypal balance. Lots of people talk about using gift cards but I found it difficult to find one that would work in the UK, they seem to be way easier to acquire in the US.

I found a different way of doing it that works really well. On localbitcoins.com, you can sell bitcoins for paypal payments. So I bought bitcoins and then sold them in exchange for a payment to my stealth paypal, overall, to buy the bitcoins for a bank transfer it cost me about %5 in fees, but it saved me from using a credit card that might link to another account. Just thought I would share in case someone else had the same problem.:)

The one issue you may face is a charge back against the PayPal payment so just be careful with that

Yes that is a potential risk, to minimize the chance of that happening one should only use a highly trusted seller, with 1000+ positive feedback.

Old saying, worms turn.

Only ever make a transaction with funds you can afford to lose.

Hoping all does go OK for you, tent'.

Hope you checked the buyer's feedback and "verified" the buyer's documents, etc., before getting that payment. Very risky to trade bitcoins for paypal money.

I trade regularly on local bitcoins but have never used paypal yet!

Good old fashioned postal orders from the Post Office work great UK accounts. Takes 3-7 working days to clear, but its decent alternative.
