returning something that got messed up.
 

so I am returning something on amazon that does not work.........I plugged it in and it is dead, tried it same day as received it.......BUT some extra damage has been caused to it, because my kid got hold of it, because it was waiting in a box in hallway.....they've drawn all over the outer packaging too.....do I not say anything or mention it? I feel bad but it did not work anyway.......usually delivery is all that counts....

My personal experience is that Amazon really do not care that much about the condition of the item. They are more concerned on customer satisfaction.

Which choice do you have on AMZ portal for returning that specific item? Is there anything that will cover the actual conditions?

Sometimes it depends on the item.

A user here, nobody999 had the potential for issues after an item broke down. The packaging had been thrown out to the rubbish. The merchant was a bit anal about the packaging.


But really, it is DOA & that is the main thing to address.

Recipient had a birthday and was given the DOA item.... with all the Chrimbo activity packaging was disposed of, in the name of tidiness... if you get my drift.
