We know how important it is for you to grow your eBay business. And here at eBay, we’re always looking for new ways to help you succeed.
As a newly registered business, you’re subject to certain trading limits, which is one of the ways we help our sellers to grow sustainably. However, by providing us with some additional information, we can better understand how to support your account for selling on our platform. That means you could be eligible for increased selling limits.
To participate, we’d ask you to reply to this email and send us the following basic information:
• Your business type (i.e. Sole Trader or Limited Company)
• Business website address
• VAT number if applicable
• Company registration number if applicable
• Your name, address, phone number and date of birth, should it differ from the details you’ve already provided at registration.
• The primary category in which you’ll sell on eBay
• How many items you plan to list on eBay within the next 6 months
• The average selling price per unit of the items you are listing on eBay
Note that by providing additional information and participating in this program, you agree to eBay sharing your data with Experian in accordance with our User Agreement and User Privacy Notice. eBay will request your personal and business records with credit reference and fraud prevention agencies. When these agencies receive a search request, they will place a search footprint on your business credit file that may be seen by other organisations.
We’ll review your information to optimise your account for selling in our global marketplace. We will reply to you within 48 hours with next steps. In the meantime, you can continue to list and sell as normal on eBay.
As always, thanks for selling with us and we look forward to supporting you further.
Regards,
The eBay team BusinessRegistration@ebay.co.uk | |
Re: Random business registration email from eBay... Random accounts get this email, and its absolutely normal.
Simply ignore it, and the account will continue to run as normal.
If however you respond to it, and the account is using stealth details - your account could be compromised, because any information you provide will get manually reviewed, and cross checked with databases (as mentioned in the email) - and of course if it all comes back as no match, you'll have to explain yourself. |

I have never seen starting limits of 10,000 items / £10,000
Keep that account safe!
Generally I just ignore those emails from eBay |
