Courier firm Hermes face HMRC investigation over pay below the minium wage for its drivers its claimed they are 40p an hour below minium wage

I saw a Herm driver for the first time today,, i caught him at my drop off Londis shop .Lovely guy very friendly,, helped him put some other peoples parcels in the van .,..so i thru them in as hard as could to make him feel at home ..and he loved it ,, luckily my parcels look like **** so they dont bother nicking them as yet ..........All couriers nick in IMO

myhermes are amazing tbh, sent 1000 parcels in 5 months and only about 20 lost which they compensated me for

I think you've been lucky. Honestly feel the only company that's worse is Yodel.

The local drivers can be nice, hard working and helpful, in which case they should be paid more. But usually they look like it's the only job they could get, and they wont stick it out for long.

Not just about luck after 1000's of percels, myhermes is super good. Been using myhermes since like forever. No significant problem at all and they are the only best, competitive, easier to use alternative to royalmail. No other service offers £2.75 delivery with tracking.

I have always said ebay would one day acquire them or Amazon will make a strategic move on them in which case Its gonna be like Microsoft acquisition of LinkedIn leaving Salesforce winging in the cold.

myhermes has been good for me but I always insure my parcels
if its over £30

I think the drivers get 80p a parcel and have to pay car insurance and own fuel
and repairs and tax and stamps so I can see the job is pointless and u will be better off on benefits
