ebay buyer protection does not cover?
 

i am interested in what ebay buyer protection does not cover
as i was not refunded for a icloud service and ebay said it was not covered so is there a list of prohibitive things not covered or do ebay just make it up as they go along with out any proper dont cover and do cover list in place

Digital goods are often not covered.

PayPal may cover it though or your card if you paid with one of them

Have you first tried working the issue out with the seller though?

I now believe digital goods and services are not covered by ebay or paypal
so i wont be buying anymore unless the buyer send its in the post then its physical goods
seller is a scammer has now got like 50 negs and does not reply and yes i have gone to paypal to see if they can refund it but wont hold my breath
I am now aware the seller knows ebay does not refund and maybe he will take a few grand before he dissapears unless paypal shut him down first
its was only £16.50 but times that by 300 buyers could reach £5k in sales

Digital goods are not covered by ebay but covered with PayPal. You should be able to open the case with PP, and win it.

hmm... I may be wrong.. but I dont believe intangible goods are covered by PayPal either. Opening a case and marking it as intangible usually leads to it being automatically closed in the sellers favours. This was the case some time back, not sure if it is still now.

if you paid with a credit card debit card then what ebay paypals rules are is of no consequence. section 75 of the credit card act covers you for a credit card payment. for debit cards there is no act in law to cover them however visa and mastercards code of practice means they will treat any debit card using their logo the same as if it was a credit card.
if you did pay by card simply call the card supplier and say you wish to initiate a chargeback for an item bought etc.
