best match search tips
 

i wanted to no if anyone can get to the top of best match search or it it just for the premium sellers?
i am not even close on this search and my product is £119.99 and
premium seller is at £139.95 and hes still selling more than me WOW!!
yes im below standard since christmas and cant get out of it even though i am
improving with no defects since december
this dsr is sole detroying and I no it spread over 12 months

Anyone can get to the top.

Ive spent a lot of times researching almost every product I list end up at the top.

Ive also seen some ebayers with like 50 feedback 98% positive and theyre at the top for certain products where others have 100% and still don't sell as much

anyone can get at the top > such a broad sweeping statement without any substance so prove it

researching what? > another broad statement i need a tried and tested formula and proof


i have copied listings at the top to test the water and still no joy
its so hit and miss :doh::doh:

Please don't try and make sense of it. It's all about what hidden limits your account has. If you don't understand what hidden limits are, you should start by researching them and not quick ways to reach the top. Ebay control everything!

the ebay search engine is called Cassini and i need to study it
found these hidden limts that ebay keep a secret

- Silent limits (limits placed on an account that can't be seen by the seller)
- URC limits (User Risk Code, limits reduced or placed on an account due to concerns)
- Category limits
- BTAC limits (Building Trust by Reducing Counterfeits, for branded items)
- Hot item limits
- Multi-Account limits
- Velocity limits
- feedback limits

All my products appear within the top 3 of search results by entering merely two words of the product title.

So from my experience, it seems some people's posts are pointing you in the wrong direction.

Nobody will tell you how to do it step by step, as you can wipe your competitors out very easily. But what I will leave you with is, everything needs to be perfect, DSRs included.

If you have two sellers listing identical items at same price, one seller registered as a private seller the other using a business account, the listings from the private account nearly always achieve higher ranking in ebay search than those on the business account. Weird but true - this has been reported many times by sellers on the ebay business seller forum. Obviously if the business seller is selling hundreds of items compared to the private account he will probably eventually achive a higher ranking in search, but in general the private account is almost always higher. This even applies to private accounts with poor feedback compared to business sellers with 100% feedback and excellent dsrs.

Unfortunately ebay seem to shaft the business seller as often as they can and seem to hold them accountable for everything, whilst sellers who are clearly running full time businesses on private accounts are allowed to flout all the rules business sellers have to abide by.

been selling more today and yes my DSRs are not perfect and i cant improve them i have tried and its been below since christmas and its still below its can be sole destroying and may take 12 months to fix it on one account

Many many tricks available and if you can't improve your dsr then forgot to sell on eBay
My products comes on top 1 to 3 if it's down then I stop selling that item since it's not worth for me.
