Graphic Design Business
 

Im thinking start up a graphic design business(flyers/adverts) through eBay. i ve seen several accounts on eBay doing this, there are no listing just a description about the services we do. Anybody got any idea who can advise me? Thanks.

Just the postal aspect of the product might need to be on the listing, to avoid the issues with services some sellers get....

If there is no listing, how does ebay make money? there has to be a listing of some sort, that is the only format ebay does.......do you mean you are just asking the buyer to contact you about the job? that could be a problem....
how about selling the option for consultation and rough draft for a small amount of $ ?

Im thinking of design what they want and e mail it than printing and posting. Would it be an issue? Ya as you said i can do the listing.

you do not need to send anything, but you should not say in the listing that it is a service only by email......you can tick free postage option....if you get some work from the listing, send the occasional tracked paperwork to a few of the buyer addresses, just for some proofs if you get limited....and never say via messages, that it is email only.....most customers will know it is email only, but you are lucky with graphic design, that it is not the sort of service that is impossible to send via post...so it could work out...

...I mean, I would not use a main account for this, just a small non-important one, because in the end, if they want to limit you over this, then they will.....

Yea MM78 is right. Fiverr may be the best option.

If you do try it on eBay make sure to follow exactly what oompaloompa said. eBay/PayPal will get suspicious. Many people have had the same problem he talks about.

There's eBay Classified Ads you can list it in.

Alternatively you can list it as an item, just be *creative* with your description. Avoid mentioning delivery will be email only. Ensure you actually send something, preferably tracked delivery so you can add it to sales to show ebay/paypal that it is a physical/tangible item.
