Paypal 21 day hold
 

Re Paypal;

Sent off an item via recorded delivery, so that I didn't have to wait the full 21 days hold.

Fund were meant to have cleared today, but I logged in and rechecked and it's been moved forward (for the whole 21 days). Is this common?

Also, what criteria do I need to fulfil to remove this damn 21 day hold?

Here are a few things that will help reduce your 21 day holds down to about 5 days:
* Shipping item out on time.
* Submitting valid tracking information to eBay and PayPal.
* The buyer leaving a positive feedback.

After approximately 3 months of doing this, your holds should be removed. However, just because holds are removed doesn't mean your in the clear.

You are still subject to one off holds on certain transactions, such as:
* Selling risky items.
* If you become dormant for a period of time.
* If your sales grow too quick.
* If you have a lot of disputes/cases filed against you.
* If a transaction is reported unauthorised.

The idea is simple - consistently keep everything in good shape, and you wont experience holds.

The minimum requirements to remove the 21 days hold:
1. 90 days from first sale.
2. 25 successful transactions.
3. At least $250 in total sales.
These are just the minimum requirements though so the holds do not necessarily get removed when you meet those - but usually shortly thereafter. Also, note that the holds can be placed back on at any moment for any reason paypal sees fit.

I always get my payments the day the item is delivered by the live chat option, your allowed to get the funds release inside 24 hours as long as the item shows as delivered with tracking. I have done this on my last 3 accounts and funds have always been manually released for me the next morning.

Use live chat on ebay not paypal as ebay are the ones who release payments early

It's a glitch on the eBay website. Happened to me loads of times. Simply go onto the order and change one number on the tracking associated with the order. It will update and will release within 24 hours of changing the tracking. Hope this helped :)

Didnt even realise pp had live online chat?, how intrusive are they with questions to verify your identity at first or dont they even bother?

How many times have you done this?, low or high value items? no flag raised though bud??

Ebay live chat not paypal :), they dont ask anything other than item numbers for which you want funds released.
