Carry on selling whilst ID docs being checked?
 

I'm on the 130 day count down to get ID docs sent to paypal which i am in the process of sorting

I've got £450 odd remaining until i reach the EU limit

Am i ok to carry on selling as long as i don't reach the limit?

Yes you can do. As soon as you hit the limit though by even 1p the account with be limited

Note - the limit fluctuates, a few months back it was around £1,900, now its around £2,100 (I think). So if it changes and you've hit the limit, you'll get limited.

Once you submit your information however, and you've hit the limit, they'll review it a lot quicker than if you had not hit the limit. So that is an added bonus.

Something quite odd that I've noticed in the past;

PayPal start to limit your account when you're reaching the threshold, and require documentation etc. to reinstate the account's good standing.

What's odd for me in the past, is that after a few days, the limitation disappeared from the account until I started to receive funds again. So, if you do struggle to produce ID, and are lucky enough to have that happen to you as well, close the account and re-open it to reset the limits. If you are keen to retain your selling histories and trust with PayPal, then of course only do it as a last resort.

Automated limitations tend to be more generous to you than one placed by an Account Specialist, but of course its based on various factors.
