New account with 100 limit
 

Hi everyone.
I have created a PayPal and eBay account. Linked them both. Have followed the exact path to the best of my ability. Listed my first item today after only opening about a week ago. Low item, low value and auctioned.
Have been granted 100 listings.
How steady should I go on listing. Only have the one thing currently on auction. Thanks

You should build a steady but consistent and rule-compliant seller history with eBay and PayPal. You don't have to feel scared to list more than one item, but it is the type of item being listed and their associated risk that counts.

If you're listing normal, low-risk and domestic items, I wouldn't blink an eye to them taking any notice of your account generally and if anything you'll benefit from a potential increase in selling allowances as well.

Of course, don't go overboard, but like I said, don't be scared to have a few listings going at the same time. Just keep it low-risk and simple, they love that with non-business sellers.

Thank you. Will list a few more tomorrow. Everything will be very low risk and of low value

The main thing on a new account with high limits is not to list risky items, and not to take too much money.

Once your first item sells, i would list 2 more. Once they sell I would add 5 items. And increase from there.

how long into the new account would you say i can list risky(er) items?

The general rule is 90 days for risky items, ive listed some electronics on buy it now after 60 days, go with your gut feeling, less speed more haste is the way, think like you was new to ebay, would you do this or that? how many backup acts have you got?
