Ebay, PayPal, Voip and entropay!
 

My first post, I have been reading this forum for months, and it has been a total godsend!

After taking all the information, I have successfully created 4 ebay and paypal accounts, verified them all, and have now achieved 170 feedbacks between all accounts (we are now past all PayPal holds) and I thought I would tell you how it was done!

Firstly, open an account with HSBC (Not my link, it isn't relevant to my post as it is for US customers). You can then open as many FLEXIBLE saver accounts online (Opened instantly) which work perfectly with PayPal.

Entropay, works perfectly with PayPal (and amazon if anyones interested!)

Voipfone, is a fantastic service, and confirms eBay, PayPal and Amazon accounts!

Entropay's customer service is spot on, I emailed them yesterday afternoon with a query, (Sunday before bank holiday) and got a reply 2 hours later!

Voipfone can be confusing, but it is so simple to set a divert from your numbers to a mobile or landline (use a landline, the tones work easier)

Seperate user accounts on the PC for each accounts makes life alot easier!

what exact part is troubling you. the main rules are divert to landline and for paypal get as close a location match as possible, are you getting the xlite icon, softphone on your screen and clicking on it to activate it b4 you put in call. Voip does work, so specify your problem....

Various questions
 

- Can anyone else confirm that HSBC Flexible Saver accounts still work? (ive read elsewhere on this forum that no saver accounts now function with PP)

- Can anyone confirm that using voipfone's free 0560 UK number works? Or do they have a softphone service that uses local STD codes? (i.e. 0208, 0207 etc). Using a normal STD code would be more reliable, esp if it is the correct STD for your address?

- Im guessing that PP cannot recognise the name on the account when making test deposits? therefore its fine to open new bank accounts in ones own name? (just as long as they arnt your old ones.. !)

- Re: Entropay. Multiple VCCs can be created, however, only one home address can be used on the account. I guess that means that one just changes the home address as one adds a new card? I.e. the address details on the entropay system, are updated for AVS (Address verification system), when adding a new credit card?

Lots of questions, i know... i will cheer when there is a competitor big enough to share the online auction market, which probably can only be google... but the reason why google havnt approached it yet, is perhaps that it will bring up monopoly issues for them, when ebay squeals "unfair". there is im sure, a solution, that is fair and removes their position as abusive monopolist. its just a case of people being creative and working out a solution.

no saver account unlikely to work, as not usual to get direct debit function, but ask and see. I would avoid

voip 056 number is ok for seller account according to one member who tried it but not for paypal location verification, you need a local number for that, they have landline numbers

vcc , you can have different address, just change under account settings, you need to change it to match, for avs to work.

correct, paypal doesnt see you bank name and address

angurio - I have just tried it with a HSBC Flexible Saver account today so i can let you know in 3-5 days if you like.

If its gets knocked back are there any savings accounts which work with paypal left anymore, or only current accounts?

Does anyone have any recent info or links to posts regarding this?

all our info points to savers NOT working, we do not know of any that do.

Also avoid ING (no dd) and Lloyds current accounts (may share name)

saver accounts don't work

It still says Barclay's savers work on the Means to an End List ==> in the subscribe section, is this out of date now then.

Also apart from smile what other current accounts can you set up on-line?

Nope, No UK savings accounts will work with paypal UK anymore.

Unless they accept direct debit which i don't think any do so stick to current accounts from now on.

i can confirm that rbs savings account works. it must have the direct debit function as i have withdrawn funds to it from paypal.

RBS is a good bank.:cheer:

HSBC savings accounts it must be said do get you verified.

After 1 week - 10 days of confirming the account paypal remove sighting bank error.

But if you can find alternative ways of wiithdrawing funds then its great!

Plus, I have removed money over 20 times to HSBC savings, just make the withdrawal the day you add the bank details, I haven't had any problems doing this. Can anyone say whether its more likely to get flagged withdrawing to unconfirmed bank accounts?

Then the bank is no use. The idea is to have a working bank.
Otherwise any user has to start again. Shame it did not work for you. Some of us had no luck as well. :pout:

HSBC will not work for paypal in the UK. It does not allow the DirectDebit mandate.31/5/2009
