100% anonymity possible?
 

As ridiculous as the title sounds, I am interested in knowing if this is even possible. Normally there shouldn't be a reason someone would want this as the whole point of stealth, as I understand it, is to just get back on eBay to the point where you are no longer restricted from buying or selling.

Some people use stealth for buying and others, like myself, use it for selling.

In many cases, people on this forum have become Top-rated sellers with thousands of positive feedback, all of them operating under stealth accounts.

However, if you really think about it, most people start discreetly but end up giving away their real addresses or some sort of personal information in some way or another. Then there is also the problem with adding a real bank account to PayPal and things like that. Obviously for most people, this isn't a problem and there should be no reason why you'd want to have 100% anonymity if you intend to sell legitimate goods or offer genuine services.

There is always the risk of "professional buyers", as one former member of this forum used to call them, pursuing claims against you outside of eBay.

Then there is also the risk of Trading Standards coming to get you or things like that.

So in the end, no matter what you are selling, hiding behind a PO Box or Virtual Bank account won't really protect you. It's your attitude towards selling that will depend on whether you continue to sell and make money or get locked up.

So all in all, I would like to know if anyone has ever pulled this off and if so, how did they do it.

the only legal way would be to avoid a bank and a PObox - be stealth and not have any real or accessible addresses added, so no returns possible and then also not add a bank or verify with VBA (not a UK possibility anyway) that you did not withdraw to, and then to cash out by buying goods on some sort of click and collect basis and then sell them for cash locally.......


....this forum will not advise you on dodgy stuff, so be warned...however customers knowing your home address is a privacy concern, so keeping stealth or at least pobox is actually a good idea for that...

online 100% anonymity is not easy to get, but it still possible. If it is for business the bank account is the final step as it seems hard to run a long term business without a real bank account. Open a bank account with a false name is not legal .. however it can be done, depends on how much money you have and where in the world you want to do it . I do not recommend it and I don't do it myself as it is not needed for paypal/ebay/amazon, but thinking banks don't allow this kind of practice and don't collect black and grey money is an illusion. For example, Al qaeda or Daesh have bank account, even if they are terrorists , but of course maybe they have more money than you and me

stealth names and addresses make complete sense to me, in terms of privacy....disputes can escalate to vindictive facebook posts and visits to your address....when you buy from a high street store you do not know the name and addresses of the owner or store assistants, so keeping e-commerce professional is a no-brainer....but all you need for that is a pobox, business name etc ...

It is a thread by a user from the UK. In the UK it is 100% NOT possible without breaking the law is some way.
