Multiple accounts - restarting router

Hi all

My first post on here, thanks for the useful info, it's helped me get my first ebay stealth account up and running and it's progressing nicely now.

I'm in the process of creating a second stealth account to use alongside my first.

Just a quick question re. IP addresses, if I use a separate PC account and restart my router before logging into each account, will this work?

Thanks

Yes - but it will become quite tedious doing it that way long term

I would get a vpn or a dongle.

VPN and Dongles are very good options, but I too use the router option, and have done since I started - and if set up correctly, its as fast and efficient as the others.

Essentially your setup needs to ensure you are able to remotely access your routers control panel, change the mac address a little (last 2 characters), and reboot the router (all remotely, so you wont have to physically do anything).

That should within a few seconds give you a new IP, so long as you don't have a static IP (cannot be changed by you).

As always, log your IP address to ensure you dont use a duplicate IP, causing accounts to link.

I should have mentioned that depends upon the router you have.

A reboot of some routers does not suffice to change the IP address, you need to change the MAC address too - to force it get a new IP.

The restarting router option works fine for me, using the routers menu it can restart with a new ip in 10 seconds.
