Re Linking freelancer with a different PayPal
 

I do have an existing and aged freelancer account which I had linked to a paypal account which I used with an ebay. Both ebay and paypal are now suspended about 2 or 3 years ago. I have also removed the paypal from my freelancer nearly 1yr or more.

I am now considering linking this same freelancer account to the paypal I use with another ebay account.

I am gonna edit the freelancer profile details with the details of the paypal but I am not sure if paypal will still find out that I had previously linked this freelancer account.

I use this freelancer account with my business and I want to continue to keep in touch with developers who have worked with me in the past. This is why I just do not want to create a fresh freelancer account.

Does anyone seriously think paypal will know and suspend me?

If you mean, you getting paid, I do not know if there is a unique reference for your freelancer payments to paypal - possibly, one you cannot see....

If you were the buyer only, maybe slightly less chance of a link.

The option to use the paypal that was linked to the banned ebay, might not be the better idea. A new paypal, might be better.

In any case, the chance of them hunting you over a freelancer account link, just because your ebay was banned, is slim.

I agree, a fresh freelancer account is the worst option, as it is full of connections and feedback....

Just wanted to move money from paypal to the freelancer account to pay my workers. Not withdrawing from freelancer. The process require linking the paypal account with freelancer. So, I am not sure if just like you said, their is a kind of unique ref which can cause red flag at paypal.
