Ebay/paypal negative balance refund.
 

I sold an item on ebay for £100 and withdrew the money.
It never arried so buyer started a dispute so I have -£100 in paypal.
Ive been on holiday past 2 weeks so by time I came home today I had a message in Ebay saying theve refunded the buyer but as there was no money in paypal I have to add funds and click on the ebay link to pay.
Thats fine. I get that. I add £200 to cover the neg balance and then have £100 to refund.The £100 that paypal are holdimg then gets release.
However Ive looked in paypal and there are no paypal or ebay disputes open?
So where is the £100?

I dont mean to be the one to post a useless piece of information but you really need to contact eBay or PayPal.

I mean.. Lets just say the item never arrived and the buyer created a chargeback, your balance would go from £0 to -£100 and the buyer would of been refunded, meaning if you deposit £100 your balance would go back to £0 with the buyer being refunded. I am not sure why you would deposit £200, if that was the case you should have a PayPal balance of £100?

Agree with AK81.

Open up your PayPal transaction history, do a few calculations, then give PayPal a call if there is any discrepancy. It wont be unusual if there was.
