Ebays Returns policy

Hi, I accepted my first return the other day, because i think i had not really a choice, so I accepted it and then found out im expected to pay return postage because he selected "not as described".
The item is as described, however the picture is not of the exact item, it is trading cards and some of the cards are different.
The description lists all the changes from the photo.
However he did not read the description.

How would ebay see this? What is their policy on using pictures that arent of the exact item ordered?

Really just for future knowledge, i think since i already accepted this one im going to have to grit my teeth and pay a tenner just to get my cards back.

From buyers point of view, I would be disappointed to receive different item than picture. Otherwise, what's the point to even upload a picture.

Schoolboy there i'm afraid mate. Customers simply dont read descriptions and buy now based on images.

If the image is different, it is not classed as their fault sadly.

There's nothing you can do in these situations, the buyer holds all the power. It sucks when buyers abuse the system but it happens (though it seems a legit reason to open a not as described return in this case)

Sometimes if you call ebay the buyer can't do whatever they want, i'm having a problem with a sale, where i sent a nutribulet blender brand new, was not dropshipping, it was sent from my house, and 3 days after the customer received it, the customer says that one of the cutting bases (tha black bottom where you attach the cups) was broken as she says she notice that as soon as she opened the box, so she sends me a photo of a broken cutting base with a cup attached, and the base broken but the cup in perfect condition, i start suspeting that she was trying to return an item that was not on the package, keeping the good one that i sent to her self.

So she sends me also a photo of the box and the carton box was brand new! how is that possible?? Also, each piece goes inside of a separate bag, and on the photo she shows me the cutting base attached to a cup....

we called ebay, and ebay said, if she can not provide a photo of the little bits of plastig that came from the broken piece inside the box, she is not returning it, because she is trying to take advantage of us!

I hate it when there is nothing wrong with the item and buyer opens a return request saying defective item 29 days after they have had good use from it. Makes me VEXED
