stealth paypal suspended, ebay fees
 

hi guys, so a quick question, my stealth paypal was suspended... this resulted in my ebay fees not being paid as the money in my paypal account is on 180 day hold. now im happy to pay the fees, however i wanted to pay them with what was in the paypal account. what are the repercussions of not paying them (£700)?

If you dont pay the account will be suspended for non-payment - that's a no brainer.
If there is any of your real info on there the debt will be passed on to a debt collector (its a large enough amount to warrant that). If the account is stealth then youre in the clear but youll be out that account.

its all stealth information, i have no intention of not paying the fees, they just have to wait 6 months as i do. i called them from withheld number and explained this, they gave me a month extra.

The repercussions on other sellers will be worse over time if more and more ppl do what you do, sadly.

If it's a stealth eBay I don't see why you would pay the fees, as your PayPal is linked to the account you won't be able to use it later anyways. I guess they will be paid by PayPal in any case after 180 days.

I wouldn't really feel sorry for eBay either - it's their own choice to only offer PayPal as payment method on their platform and this will be the result.

For myself, when I had an account permanently limited I paid my eBay fees from my personal savings with a credit card, because PayPal did not ban me from using their service. They suspended me because my PayPal was registered in the wrong country as they were doing a manual review after a certain revenue treshold. After this I connected my aged eBay to a new PayPal (real) and selling succesfully, so in this case it made sense to pay the fees.

Wouldn't that be risky? Considering the ebay & PP accounts were stealth, but he will be creating a VCC with his real name & billing address..

Not at all.

Firstly - you don't add the card to PP. You simply use it via eBay to pay fees.

You don't enter your name/address when making payment, just use the details on the ebay account.

Technically, no eb cannot dip into a limited pp even after the 180 days are up

I didn't think they could... Its been so long since Ive been in that position I couldn't remember for definite.

if the paypal is rescue-able then pay the ebay fees. if the paypal is dead so will be your ebay so dont pay the fees.

If you are stealth, then if you wait for 180 and get your money, it is very generous of you to pay it... and you ought to pay really, as the money you withdraw has fees owed on it

BUT pay it BEFORE you get your money? - ha, no way...

You should have told them you only work in the Narnia timezone, so that 1 month they 'offered' you will get a little more extended......and if they dont like it, then they can come through the wardrobe and look for you....
