mobile broadband dongles

hi guys i use seperate dongles for each of my ebay accounts with different netwrok providers, to make sure i get different Ip's for each of them.

i have run out of networks to use now, i use all three of the major mobile broad band providers.

what i wanted to know
is if i buy a seperate dongle for another account and use a second different Sim (three)
what are the chances of getting the same IP as the other one i use? (i already have a dongle with a THREE sim which i use for an ebay account)

so far ive used EE, Three, o2, to keep ip addresses diferent.

No - another dongle, same network wont make a difference.

You were bound to run out doing what you were doing. You really should of thought this through. Anyway, I suggest you revert to the method mentioned in the stealth guide, log your IPs from now on, avoid duplicate IPs. That will allow you to scale up, but use the same network providers.

Also remember, some networks are MVNO (although not in your case right now) - so having a different provider may not provide the results your after.

i see, it seems like a big task having to record IP's, everytime.
for that reason its why ive resorted to this setup, as each network would provide a different ip.

which of the above networks would be the best choice to use two accounts with, and then from there record ips?
three? or o2?

Don't want to record IP's? Get a VPN or similar.

it doesnt seem justifiable as i only sell a few months in a year, not all year round.

You can get VPN and pay 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, 12 months etc.

Just buy it for the months you'll sell.

yeh i guess your right.

i seem to be getting new ip's everytime upon connecting and disconnecting on mobile broadband on the three network, do you think it would be safe to assume that ip's given are always fresh? ive ne never logged them to see if i recieve a duplicate so cant take much from that

has anyone who has been logging ip's using mobile broadband ever foundtheyve been given a duplicate of an ip address? just wondering...

That's a very naive comment to make unless you are able to memorise the IPs every single time you login.

Of course they change from time to time, heck the IPs change if your idle for too long too... but that doesn't mean its not an IP you've used before.

Yes IPs do cross over from time to time, hence why logging them is very important.

Ive never logged ip's but i wanted to see if anyone who has logged ip's come across a situation like this, if so what network they were using.
i understand its never safe to assume we arent getting recycled ips, so logging is important.

Been using same Three dongle for multiple (3-5) stealth accounts for 6-12months now, never logged IP's, so far so good.

But I get what OPs are saying - better be safe than sorry

i use three too, everytime i connect and disconnect....i get a new ip, is there a case of duplicate ips being given with three, anyone else whos been using dongles chime in?

it is better to be safe than sorry, just because youve been using it doesnt mean your accounts arent linked through ip now....they may or may not be, eventually if one goes down and the rest do too you will know why that is....

anyone know if mobile broadband ips recycled?

Your right there. But some network providers dish out similar IPs more than others. You keep logging into your accounts with the same IPs, sooner or later it will link.

To be linked however doesn't mean you'll get suspended. If ever one is flagged up for review, any linked accounts will be reviewed and suspended if there is too much similarity between them, i.e. items your selling etc.
